Culture has changed to try to keep all the Freshmen from failing. But the people aren't half as weird as they look, and while classes suck and you'll struggle, an average graduate might have a 2.6 gpa and still land a starting job for $70k. Anyways, socializing imo is easier in college, since it's much bigger, you get to ignore niches that don't suit your personality, and if you hang with a couple of persons you can easily hang with their friends and meet more people along the way. If you already have friends you met before on other majors, you can also meet them and get to know more people.
