I want to enjoy this event, but I haven't seen anything rare except lickitung, which is spawning multiple times an hour here now. Some of you guys were bashing Pokemon Duel the other day, but I installed it and it's a masterpiece compared to Go. It's got a complete story mode, online matchmaking, private online games, a new gym-challenge mode, and frequent updates/events. People were saying "Boo, you can't even choose your attacks!" and not even being ironic. Go is nothing but RNG fuckery. I hope Niantic gets their shit together soon too, but I'm not optimistic.

They're about to ruin everything

With the current change in egg distances it confirmed my thoughts on why Gen 2 is being delay. BALANCING. The game is pretty unbalanced compared to the main series now but the unbalance feels nostalgic like in red, blue, green, and yellow. I real think the egg change shows that niantic is trying to improve the balance of the game for when gen 2 comes out. I think they want to drop it as soon as possible but they know that it would be better to have a complete update to drop all at once rather than just have an update that gives us gen 2 but doesn't work right and losses players. Niantic knows the potential of this game and wants to help its players and keep its players happy, and I think by waiting until gen 2 is done completely on niantic side it will be a much better end result.

Originally the game had a tracker that helped players find Pokémon. It had 3 footsteps if they were far away, 2 if you were closer, and 1 if you were almost to it. It was a lot better than what we have now.

The egg tweak is for more incubator money. I was getting maybe 1 2k per 10 or so eggs, now perhaps 30-50% are 2k. All the updates have been about money, and it makes me sad.

Even the pokemon kicked out of gyms coming back with 1 hp they said was "a glitch" when really they wanted to retard active players in gyms by forcing them to use more revives. Shocked revives haven't been put into the shop actually.

Trading is not what the game needs; It's one of the last needed features right now. They released the game way too early lacking both a purpose and stability. People with powerful phones don't realize how resource hungry the game has become, while adding nothing to it, making it impossible to play on devices such as an iPhone 5, while in the summer it worked flawlessly.

I saw John Hanke at a GameStop in San Francisco yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for Gen 2 or anything.

He said, “Nothing personal, kid.”

I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Pokemon Go Pluses in his hands without paying.

The neckbeard at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear him, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.

When the neckbeard took one of the boxes and started scanning it multiple times, John stopped him and told him to scan them each individually “to prevent this kid behind me from going outside to catch Mewtwo before it despawns” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think Mewtwo is in the game yet. After he scanned each box and put them in a bag and started to say the price, John kept interrupting him by yawning really loudly.

My Gyarados is perfect IVs but has dragon pulse.

Should I max it out? Gyarados is mainly for taking top spot in gyms from what I've seen, so I may do it before. Dragon pulse isn't that bad, and it's useful vs some more popular mons like Dragonite.
