I still don't have a Lapras. Live in a town but since the start a Lapras has come up on my nearby when I'm at home 5 times. But I just cannot find it. I know where most of the usual spawn spots are, but the elusive one is always the Lapras. It popped up again today for the first time in a couple of months but I still couldn't find it.

My house doesn't have any Pokestops nearby so it always pops up on the sightings radar and I'm walking blind.

Anyone else have a similar feud/story with a

I play together with my wife (some levels beneath me). We found ourselves a nice hunting ground where we were able to hold at least 8 gyms for a week or two. Recently, it became quite interesting as other players from our team found our hunting ground and we ended up holding some of our favorite gyms at level 10. As I mentioned above, my SO does not have as strong pokemon as I have, leading to a situation in which I am in the middle or on the top of our gyms whereas she is sitting on the lower end.

So everything’s great, we though. Until the last weekend, where we realized that she lost some of our gyms whereas I was still able to hold them. First, we thought: “Alright, an enemy team appeared, let’s get going”. We need some time to get to our hunting ground, so by then the other team should finished their fights and we could reclaim our gyms. However, as we arrived, we were shocked to see that all the gyms are still on level 10.

My SO was kicked out of every gym, in which she was holding one of the lowest three seats, and three other trainers from our team I did not see until then were sitting in all these gyms.

First we thought it might be a coincidence, so we just wanted to leave as we realized that my SO was just kicked out of another gym some minutes away from us. We rushed there to see what happens and indeed: three guys sitting in a car were just decreasing the prestige of the mentioned gym, just to increase it some minutes later and put their pokemon inside.

As my SO did not want to make a fuzz out of it, I did not went over to them and just kept making screenshots of their actions.

I reported these three guys yesterday, but I can’t tell how high the chances for Niantic acting against them are. Did you guys experienced similar problems? What have you done against it? Did it help to report to Niantic? Is it even cheating?

Bear in mind that what you'll actually need to walk will probably be significantly less though (even if Niantic's tracking inevitably screws you out of some distance walked) since everything you catch + transfer for four candies takes a pretty decent chunk off what you would need to walk.

I have a 100% Alakazam that got p.cut/shadowball, pretty disappointed but I guess what can you expect when you have to be good at rolling sixes to get p.cut/psychic.

Ok, I've been thinking about this test for a few days now, but it needs to be done with people that play PoGo in groups of at least 2 or more, the more the merrier.

So my theory is that the evolution of a Pokémon is predetermined from the moment it spawns. Similar to the way that IVs are the same for every player, I think that evolution move sets, and species (for multi-evolution Pokémon) are the same for every player.

This, IV is determined, initial moveset is determined, evolution moveset is random. I tested.

Since a few weeks I have been seeing strange mons in my town which doesn't correspond with the spawns that I was getting before. Some strange cases. My biome consist on eevees (a ton. Like pidgeyx2 levels), pidgeys, bellsprout, oddish, nidorans and clefairy mostly. There are some water spawn (horseas, seels, shellder, slowpoke, magikarp, poliwag, in order from most common to the least).

But, lately, I have seen some spawns that corresponds with one kind of "desert biome": geodude, ponyta, meowth, ekans, growlithe...This kind of pokemons didn't appear a single time from September to December, which seems kinda weird. Its like the local biomes have merged with a little of that desert biome.

Has anyone experience something similar? Maybe Niantic has implemented pokemon that doesn't correspond with biomes so people see something new from time to time (not for me, that biome is where my gf lives -.-).

Gyms in my medium sized city have no changed in weeks. Several level 8-9 gyms are just sitting there. Noone adds defenders. Noone attacks. The only attacks that happen appear to be team killing for level 10 spots. One random local church now has a minimum of 2900.
