I made a new code.bin for QR injection, and now Sun just hangs on the "Nintendo 3DS" logo. Happens with both cart and cia. I'm 100% certain I have the 1.1 update, and I used the most recent release of SMPatcher.

Well, I just tested a Love Ball Noibat and no luck. Looks like GameFreak have gotten a bit stricter because Apricorn balls tended to pass before. I distinctly remember receiving a Lure Ball Totodile in Gen 6 with no problem.

Why do you need a pentagon? That's old news. RBY Pokemon get a Gameboy next to their IV markers.
Anything transferred from gen 1 will be shiny if all of its DVs are 10. Natures will be determined by the last 2 digits of its experience, and you can just max out IVs in PKHeX.

When I inject a fresh mon in PKhex, I just start editing an existing one from my save, so it has my TID etc and met conditions (I usually edit a lv 1 babe).

Is there a fast way to reset it's move and relearn moves to completely legal?

No official client for macs, unfortunately.
You can try to use mono or wine to run the executable directly, or use the (outdated) wine wrapper. I finally gave up and set up a Windows 10 VM to use it though.

I'm not sure if this one is legit, since it's technically only possible with a Gen6 > Gen7 transfer. But if PKHeX generates these transfer Pokemon the correct way, it should be all good.

I don't think PKHeX is able to simulate a Gen 6-7 transfer correctly just yet, so while you may be able to trade it, I don't know if you can battle with it. Would be nice if you could test it out and let me know.
