I've been coming here on a daily basis since the very beginning, but never saw anyone mentioning it. I'm playing on Android. A double powerup is when you click the "power up" button with two fingers, and also confirm it with two fingers. I like to keep my fingers apart for both steps. It brings the mon up a whole level, the cost stays the same. You can even go 0.5lvl over the limit this way. Let's say you're lvl33, so you can normally go up as high as 34.5 with your mons. By doing the double powerup on a 34lvl mon, you get it up to 35 instead. To avoid confusion, I try to do only double powerups, so all mons are full-leveled.

My Go Plus just doesn't want to work any more and I don't know why.

It started randomly during the end of December, it could initially be found by the app but would give a "failed to connect" error shortly after.

With the new 0.53.1 update it won't even detect it at all. The device can be paired in Bluetooth settings but it still won't show up in Pokémon Go.

So fucking annoying. Anyone else deal with shit like that?

ok here what happens everyday:

where i live i'm in range of a gym so i can battle all day long whem i'm home.

every morning, i spend half an hour bubblestratting up my gym to level 10. im not only going to lvl 8, but the whole 10 yards 50k. at this point i'm the only one in it.

then at around noon, the cute girl who lives nearby walk by the gym and puts her top vape in it. at this point she and me are the only ones in the lvl 10 gym, and i get a lot of joy out of leveling it up for her. she's just level 28.

then up until evening, around 3 or 4 more people place their mons in it. sadly there arent enough players around here to fill it up, so there are always around 4 spots left until evening.

then in the evening, the local carfag with his gf pulls up in front of my house, and starts taking down the gym for about 40 minutes. i train against him so that he has it harder.

nevertheless with the current system, they always take it within an hour or so. me im sitting comfy on the couch, battlin'.

then after they put their down in it, i wait for them to drive away and then immediately kick them out the gym again. sometimes when they get extra mad, they turn around drive back to the gym and take it again, and then i take it again when they leave.

then, around 10 pm or so when the passerby battles have stopped and noone is in sight, i put my bubblestrat mon in again and wait for the next morning to come to train up the gym up to level 10 again.

this exact scenario has been happening everyday for the past two months, including christmas and new years eve.

Idk what's the point of that if you lose the gyms anyway and can't really catch/hatch on the way at this point buying the coins would be way cheaper. Looking at the Silph Road projection of max CP with the expected Gen 2 included, it looks like the pokemon to be found in gyms when we reach that point will not change much. I personally would love to not only collect, but battle the new guys. Without a CP rebalance though, it seems as if it will mostly be collecting.

To be fair most of the gen 2 mons just suck like in most gens and gen 2 doesnt bring many mons so it wouldnt be surprising if we dont get 20 new S/A tier mons
