I like it more as it is where the way it evolves is clearly based on how the shellder happens to clamp on to it. It's kind of unfair that slowking doesn't get a mega while the bro does, but there's a lot of pokemon that don't have megas that aren't just slightly different versions of pokemon who have them already that I think deserve them first

Special bulk is better this year in VGC. If you also need physical bulk, you can use an Intimidate user with it.

You can do that with Slowbro and a Snarl user, but the King is better, in my opinion.
