How do I keep fucking up my Trainer ID in Pkex? It seems like there's only room for 4 digits but Trainer IDs are 6. WHen I replace the "12345" i try to put in at least the first 5 digits of my ID, but then I always get a different string of numbers as the Pokemons ID.

The trainer ID is calculated differently. You can't see your normal ID anymore, because Trainer IDs are calculated like this:

(5 digit Trainer ID) + (5 Digit Trainer ID x 65536)

It only displays the last six digits.

In PKHeX, if you hover over one of the entry boxes, it should show what your ID should be after the calculation.

dumping carts to cia won't transfer save, but it won't erase it either
use jksm to dump the save from your cart, then inject in the cia version
note that you'll have to start the cia game and generate a save file before you can inject, jksm works by replacing a save once the game itself initializes the data

Yes, delete them from the code_sections folder and it will boot just fine

1. Go to eShop and download the update for SM ver 1.1
2. Go into Luma and delete the previous patched code.bin
3. Go to https://github.com/SciresM/SMPatcher/releases/tag/1.1 and grab SMPatcher.IPS.files1.1.zip
4. Go into SD:\luma and create the folder path:
SD:\luma\titles\0004000000175E00\ for moon or SD:\luma\titles\0004000000164800\for sun.
5. Extract the ips patch from the zip you just downloaded and paste it in the "0004..." folder you just created.
6. Rename the ips file to "code.ips"
7. Boot up your 3ds and open LumaUpdater, choose to update to latest hourly build.
8. Reboot and hold Select on boot to enter Luma menu, Check the "enable game patching" option.
9. Load up your game and you should be able to inject again.

You don't need/want homebrew to use JKSM now. Get the cia/QR for the newest version and install it through FBI. You can also QR inject through that guide above me.

Make some Pokemon in PKHeX(legal templates are in the OP), then right click the Pokemon icon at the top of the icon to generate a QR code. Scan the QR code ingame and it'll inject wherever you told the QR code to put it.

Ah I figured out the problem! I'm one of those old timy geezers who used to Home Button out of the game to inject their Pokemon, I remembered the Moon has an ingame QR scanner and I used that one and it worked 100%

I followed the instructions in the pastebin, have a N3DS with soundhax on the latest firmware and with the Pokemon update. I downloaded the prepatched bin, changed the one in patch + no outlines to 00164800.code, and then opened up HANS. On its settings, I put USA/English/Code-->SD yes and then press okay, but it just goes back to the homebrew menu. What am I doing wrong?
