There's a chance your pc doesn't support SDHC or SDXC. That happened to me, and my SD card was also write-protected. You might want to try updating your drivers, and if that doesn't work, just buy an adapter for SDHC/SDXC (I had to do the latter)

just install the CIA. If you want, you can get a program like Filezilla, but it's not needed. You can just open up a Windows Explorer window and type in "ftp://_____" . Open FTPD on your 3ds and in that blank enter in the IP address that appears at the top of the screen, including the port, something like 192.168.0.15:5000
