We are removing the original forms of Raichu, Muk, Exeggutor, and Marowak, and making the Alolan forms the only ones that exist

yes because they're definitely more interesting than mega evolutions

this was probably my favorite addition to S/M, it was like that tumblr trend where they would make different varients of pokemon based on habitats and such, which i'm pretty positive gave gamefreak the idea to use it in the first place. really glad they used that instead of the other trend where you would just mix two pokemon together like pic related. everything that came from that was almost always ugly.
