Anon from a few threads ago who was saving up revives to take down gyms in my small town here.

I think some other Valor players had the same New Years idea as me, and were also biding their time. As I mentioned before, Mystic dominates all the town gyms with Lvl 10s, but one fell to Valor just a few hours before I went out. I took down three solo, then ran out of revives, but another group took a fourth.

Overall, they're going to be waking up to most of their stable gyms gone.

Just wondering what the best advice is for taking over gyms solo? I haven't been able to meet any fellow team members to group up with :(

I have been taking over lvl10 gyms in my local area and often put something easy to prestige with and levelling to lvl5/6. However, i am often getting booted out from players on my own team once they reach lvl10. I'm getting pretty tired of it.

If i put in a high level mon, it's going to be harder to level up, and I'd say some people would get a bit annoyed by it.

I really wish I could swap a pokemon out of a gym.. even if it were only allowed once for the person who captured the gym... would solve a lot of problems. Right now i feel severely disadvantaged by taking the time to capture a gym for the team.

It's not harder to level up if they're a lower level than you, because the system will lower the cp.
If they're higher level they won't have trouble with their stronger mons anyway.

In fact, and someone else could correct me if mistaken, I found it way easier to train up against a gym with a 3k Dragonite on top because you gain prestige like a madman using low level (1.5-19k) mons.

One day, they only had two and I asked what happened to the third because it was the oldest and I was worried it died of disease or something in the month or so since I last saw her.

One of the kids slipped on their stairs while going down and crushed one of their cats who was resting on a stair or two above from the ground floor while sliding down. Kid had a broken tailbone. The family lost the cat.

one likes to sit right at the top and look down (when he's not laying on the back of the couch to look out the window) and my other one likes to lay about 1/3 of the way up (pic related, he sits at such an awkward angle I wonder how he isn't in constant neck pain). But no, most that's ever happened is I stepped on ones tail when I got up to pee in the middle of the night.
He wasn't happy about it and I felt like shit for it, but I felt it the next morning and he didn't react in pain so I can only assume I didn't hurt him, only really startled him.

Since then he makes a habit to move to the bottom of the stairs when I start coming down. To be fair, they're both solid black and it was the middle of the night.

your cat is really smart with his decision to move down to the bottom of the steps. next time he sees you coming he will have more time to react and move out of the way if he needs to.

Is it possible for a phone without gyroscope inside to still see the pokemon with real backgrounds through the camera? At least for pictures?
I've read you can "add" a gyroscope to a phone through arduino and stuff, but I don't know if that would work for games.
