I'm using a cracked app on an old iphone and the closest thing to teleporting is a map feature and 'walk here', at 8x walking speed (100 mph I think) that would take way too long to go overeas, not to mention my game crashes on it every 15-20 min. It says it's pokemon go ++ 1.19 but it's a piece of shit with a horrible compass based joystick tho only thing working on ios. Spoofing from rural areas sucks dick, not worth it. It's hard to say anything concrete on how you can induce drifting, but it has to do with how shitty your phone's GPS module is, the cell sites in your area as well as how thicc your walls are.

But the rule to drift is basically find a spot at your home where you notice your gps gets confused the most. PokeHuntr for Android. It led me directly to a Tangela which a showed my friend, then we tried it that night, said a Lickitung anda Chansey were at a spot (not the pier) but failed to show. We went after a Hitmonlee and it was near, but not exactly where it claimed to be and the dudes with 40 Dragonites claimed it works. I use Android and my friend (paranoid to use apps like this thinking he'll get banned) somewhat relies on me to show him where to go. We tried for an Aerodactyl but that didn't show up either. Rhydon

Quick attack options:
Mud slap, 11.11 dps
Rock Smash, 10.64

Charge options:
Stone Edge, 25.81 dps
Mega horn, 25 dps
Earthquake, 23.81 dps

Mud slap and stone edge is clearly optimal, but even with rock smash and earth quake or mega horn the dps is barely different, right?

I know that there are some real shitfest moves like Twister that are clearly absolutely garbage compared to the alternatives. But cases like Rhydon, isn't basically anything top tier?

I'm very sorry if this sounds dumb, just trying to get a handle on what is considered good and what isn't.

For example, I have a rock smash mega horn 100%Iv Rhydon, and a 87% mud slap EQ Rhydon.

Does it really matter what one I max out? Is the difference going to realistically matter in any situation?

For the purposes of this I've left out the concept of certain moves being situationally better (megahorn vs psychics, for example)

Stone Edge has the best raw DPS sure, but typing also matters.

Megahorn is shit.
Bug type has shit typing. Useless against like 80% of the types.
Bug type moves are generally shit unless it's a Bug Bite / Bug Buzz combo on a Bug Pokemon (no Bug Pokemon can learn Megahorn ATM).
No STAB from Megahorn.

Stone Edge isn't useful against Pokemon you'd use Rock moves against (e.g. Lapras will still wreck you, Bugs are worthless, Charizards aren't worth a damn, Vapes don't resist Rock but you're fighting against a Vape with double damage typing).

Stone Edge's problems are similar to Earthquake's so yeah, you could go with either as long as it's not Megahorn, but Rhydon is actually pretty shit for attacking unless he's a maxed out fatass that you use to meme non-Steel Wing Dragonites with. They're only actually good for taking up top bunk in a gym because they're bad at defending too.

Ultimately it doesn't matter.
For attacking, as long as you can do decent damage while mashing the screen, they are good enough. This is why a good pick against a vape squad is sadly another vape squad, or why memes like Bite / Hyper Beam Raticates and Bug Bite / Bug Buzz Bug types (against treemen) are viable.
For defending, you just need to not be at the bottom and go for max CP.

I've been told a few times there's no point in trying to make "defending" Pokemon, or amping them up. Just throw in a High CP Pokemon or a chansey to annoy people.

I've got two Rapidash, one is 100% IVs with ember and heat wave, while the other is 87% with ember and fire blast.
