Araquanid itself isn't broken, but the ability is pretty OP and with it Araquanid gets a huge boost that it probably shouldn't. And again, the ability itself gets too much. Golosipod is mostly just attack and defense and gets by because of it's signature move, and Primarina has nothing going for it at all aside from it's special attack that it'll never get to use because of it's pitiful HP/Def. Again, they both get rubbish abilities while Araquanid won the jackpot. Maybe they could just give it Huge Power instead.

I assume they're talking about how Eggs are generated at least 30, maybe more, Eggs in advance. Only a few things actually change those rolls, and changing species isn't actually one of them (with a caviate that I can't quite recall right now). So you can breed magikarps until you get a shiney, reload to the save before you got the shiney, then just switch it out for the actual species you want a shiney of. And save a boatload of time.

I doubt they'd actually patch this, though. It's nothing major, but it would require a pretty fundamental rework of how the game operates to fix. It's not really a bug either, just an odd decision on their part.

Otherwise you get an ability that does three different things and lets it basically one-shot just about everything unless they have an ability that lets them absorb water. They made unique walking and running animations for every single fucking Pokemon ever made, even changing them slightly for nearly physically identical formes, all just for the Pokefinder, which only ever uses a handful of them. They did this all during the development cycle of SM and put them all into the game as well, despite there never being even the smallest chance a significant fraction of them were ever going to be used.
