My local gym has been Instinct for a month, with staying strong at lvl 10 for most of the time
However, someone keeps knocking it down to 9, but not any further, and as a result of it the gym has became monstrous.

My Vaporeon, which was at one time the gym leader, got booted out a few days ago just because of how many times it's been knocked down to 9 but built back up and replaced with a stronger pokemon
I trained it back up and now my 2700 Rhydon is in there, the gym is lvl 9 currently with it's weakest Pokemon just being under 2500

Find gyms of your team with at least a few Pokemon already there, train it up, add your Pokemon as high in the Gym hierarchy as possible, and hope that it stays up for a few days. You will likely need pokemongomap.info to find Gyms near you and a scanner like PokeTrack or PokeMap to figure out the Gym status before leaving. Good luck, anon.

Did that once as well a few weeks ago. It's a town with only 4 gyms and I often travel back home going through that town. I was working on getting a mon in each of the 4 gyms when I suddenly noticed one of the gyms I just put a pokemon in, being under attack. Turns out it was a highschooler on a bike. Then the two of us battled each other for a bit. After defeating his I put a low cp mon while he usually put a higher cp mon in there. However I had the ultimate advantage by using a car, so he gave up eventually. Although if he had tried just a little bit longer it was me who would have given up. I didn't feel like wasting too much fuel after all.

Can I get banned for using IV Go and the PokeHuntr app? I'm on Android and have a paranoid friend who uses an iPhone. He uses an app that analyses a screenshot he uploads to tell the IV % and claims its safer than what I do which could get me banned. I know IV Go logs into my account and its just making a calculation so I don't see how that would ban me. With PokeHuntr, it seems its only using GPS. We ran into someone at the Santa Monica Pier that has 40 Dragonites. Pokehuntr worked maybe 1/3rd of the time when we went after rare stuff supposedly there like Aerodactyl and Lickitung.

They need to implement pokecenters like 1 or 2 in a smallish city, maybe 1 in a largish town. Somewhere where people like you and other anons who post here who have 80 dead Pokemon can be revived.
