there are easy fixes for all of it that don't take much effort on niantics end which solve most fo the problems
but it took them about 5 months to change from the old busted stat conversion to the new busted stat conversion

the ONLY mon that has ever gotten special treatment was lapras because of the lapras bump that was going on in japan

Totally, most mons I get loads in the city spawn rarely or never in my town. My town has 0 nests but the path I play in the city has more than 5 and there is always a decent chance that every month Niantic adds one more or that at least one of them is a starter nest. With this last migration a Charmander nest appeared inside a park that I didn't even know it existed and I scan the whole area regularly.

Everything else in the first part of the guide is just common sense, maybe except

I rather rely on a scanner, in my local group most people whenever they go to an announced nest they are all like "I was there for 5 minutes and not a single charmander appeared shit nest wtf" then you go there and if there is nothing you just circle around the place and in 10 minutes nest mons start appearing, they just come in bursts in most nests. At least that's my experience.

I feel bad that Hanke is getting a lot of hate. I think he seems like a nice guy in general. But I would've have to agree with other people that he doesn't know how to manage this game. A lot statements from him have him admitting he didn't think the game would be this popular which shows he's not familiar with the material. I wish he would hire someone or put into the hands have someone that is very enthusiastic about the series/game. I thought it was kind of interesting that changes popular youtubers/redditors recommended where implemented so quickly but it really is reaching for the lowest fruit. This is what I do in cities in Brazil. Instead of taking down level 10 enemy gyms I just take it down enough for it to still be high lvl but have a snorlax as the weakest pokemon so they will want to train it up to get less vulnerable spending lots of time and items in the process.

Item depletion is how a city domined by Valor became full of lvl 10 Mystic gyms. Valor spoofers are the only force taking down Mystic gyms and even them don't have enough items to make a considerable dent on Mystic empire.

I took a road trip that had me going through rural Kansas. The highest mons in gyms were like 1200cp flareons and shit. Was crazy.

2 days ago I was trying to catch a Chansey. I used two ultra balls with berries and it broke out both times. After I only used a pokeball and caught it. I thought there might be something with multiple attempts wearing down a pokemon but I've had pokemon break out no matter how many times I've caught them previously.

I feel like the badge update that makes them actually do something now, was an excuse to make pokemon harder to catch. Niantic wanted players to have something to blame for not being able to catch something simple.

I'm too lazy to go out and get gyms. There's one down my street that I'll grab a few times. But there's only 2 other Instinct players near me who take it sometimes. We're also not coordinated. Usually one us takes down the gym by ourselves and then another team takes it. Which is good and bad; It's fun to take down an enemy +5 gym single handed and leave a 16cp Kadabra.

I'm valor and I usually just knock down enemy gyms and cash out as fast as I can. If I play at night I can usually get more, usually I max out at six or seven if I'm lucky. I only have one gyms I can reliably hold.

I can't physically bring myself to play anymore, the only mons I'm missing are Tangela, Lapras, Snorlax, and Dragonite.
So the rarest spawns around, the only place in a 50km radius where a Dratini could appear has a small change to appear through the course of an entire day and the others would be just plain luck.

Walking eggs? It just doesn't sound logic to me to take a chance on gamble in this game when I know I have the short stick.
I just hope the event will be any good, make a meetup with my local PoGo group and hopefully something huge will spawn then.

Can't understand as well, the game isn't made to be played in a compulsory manner since it's a time waster. I for instance play normally on the go, only spoof if I couldn't get a gym on the day (so I just find one from my team already and prestige it) or if there's anything interesting far away. Sometimes I recognize spoofers messing with legits gyms, so I spoof there and fuck with their entitled plans without leaving traces of who is doing it. It's fun and it's excuse to battle gyms from home.

But I keep being afraid of getting banned, maybe I should stop for good even though I only do it around my place/neighborhood.

Has Niantic become more aggressive in banning spoofers? I've noticed a change in the gyms lately. They used to be full of Dragonites, also Exeggutors (which don't exist here in the wild). Now I hardly see them, gyms are full of Vaporeons and other mons you can easily get legit.
