Got this the other day. Not bad for an SOS chain shiny. I'll take the nature, considering I wasn't synchronizing for a better one. As long as it's not something completely useless like a speed boosting nature, and is contributing to bulking it up, I can stomach the Special Attack loss, especially if it has a perfect Special Attack IV anyway.

Not my proudeat moment, but it's my first shiny with my name on it in a non emulated game.

Hatched this a couple hours ago.

I was just breeding some extra of all the fossilmons for GTS bait and this snazzy dude popped out on my very first Archen egg. Has a shit nature and only 3 perfect IVs, but it's my first shiny of Gen 7 and I couldn't be happier.

My only shiny so far was a Bagon I chained when trying to get a low level Salamence for the fun of it. It had shit IVs and a shit nature. I evolved it to Salamence, and promptly GTSed it for Celesteela since people are tremendous jews for the fat kaguya. I don't like shiny Salamence anyway, so I scored pretty damn well.

I'm breeding Wimpod right now with two 5iv parents. My goals are Wimpod, Magikarp, and Dratini right now. I've always loved red Gyarados, and green Dragonite is 10/10 regardless of what people say. Wimpod and Golisopod are easily the most awesome shinies of this gen, simply because it reminds me of Heroman. I never nickname pokemon, but when I get my Wimpod, that fucker's being called Joey.

Sandygast person here, I pretty much knew that going into it, but just wanted to SOS chain at least one shiny Pokemon for the sake of being able to say that I did. I got what's probably an above-average Pokemon out of the deal and I'm happy to stop there and stick to MMing for whatever else I may want.

Shiny Butterfree is cute. Within the first 5 hours of my game, I found a shiny Rattata in Hau'oli City, so that was cool I guess. Early-game shinies are nice because at least you have an opportunity to take them along for part of your adventure, and give them a use despite having garbage stats for competitive.

But what I mean about the stats is that if you find a random shiny after you've beaten the game, there's really no more situations for you to freely use it in without it being complete baggage, even if you do shove bottle caps up its ass. My Rattata (now Raticate) for example, pulled a good amount of weight for the first island, but already showed signs of falling behind on the second island. If I had been wandering through Hau'oli after beating the E4 for some reason and found the shiny Rattata then instead, what would I even do with it? That's all I mean.

Did you know that any other pokemon with the same male-female ratio could have been that shiny if you had swapped out the parents? A few days ago a study was done by some users here in /vp/ and they found that the egg results are predetermined past 30 eggs, and that if you hatch eggs until you find a shiny, you can replace the parent(s) to give an egg with the same gender ratio and that egg will be shiny.
