I sincerely don't think we'll get a Superstar pokemon this gen like we did with Greninja. As of one month after X/Y's release Greninja was the definitive favorite of the gen, winning all major popularity polls, seeing extraordinarily high usage in battle spot, being the most Wonder Traded pokemon of all time along with the most Amie'd, hell, many even placed him in top 15 best Pokemon of all time lists; so even before Smash, he was a clear winner. Gen VII reception has been pretty warm in general, but there have been no obvious standouts. Tapu Koko would work fairly easily.
Incineroar would be the easiest to translate, but it lacks the popularity. Decidueye seems to be more popular and would also fit well in Smash, but its popularity still pales in comparison to where Greninja and Lucario were prior to being included. Bewear would probably be fun as well, but it's a little too low-profile to work out properly.
Plenty of the Ultra Beasts would work. Buzzwole would be the absolute greatest Pokemon-related thing ever in Smash and damn you if you think otherwise.

Artfag here. Using Pixiv results is a really shitty way of determining a Pokemon's popularity for a multitude of reasons.

The level of dificulty it takes for a Pokemon to be drawn is also a factor in the amount of fanart t gets. For an example, I like both Tsareena and Pyukumuku, but of the two, I draw Pyukumuku because it's easier or more fun to draw. I drew a Pyukumuku just to demonstrate, this took not even 2 minutes. Does this mean Pyukumuku is popular among the majority of Pokemon fans? Not necessarily. Does it mean Tsareena is unpopular? Also not the case.

Also, using Battle Spot statistics is another bad way to measure popularity. Just because Koko is on every team doesn't mean everyone who uses Koko is a fan of him. Just wait for some official voting poll before you decided who the most popular Pokemon of the generation is.
