I've MMed shinies in the past. There's a noticeable feeling of wasting your own life, but it's easier to do passively while watching movies.
It usually takes a few days, I think the longest I've gone was a week of on-and-off breeding before I got a shiny. Fastest (intentional) shiny was the 9th egg.

I just finally got the Shiny Charm. I want to start chaining but I don't know what mon to start with. Lapras and Relicanth are my favorite mons but both are such a pain in the ass to encounter. And frankly both of them aren't that great.

Okay i used to think SOS shiny hunting was dumb. I was SOS hunting a Salamence and I found a shiny Bacon after only 30 or so. Then my autism kicked into overdrive and I decided since it's so easy, I should get all the eeveelutions shiny. Caught my first teo shiny eevees in a couple of hours. It's been 12+ hours and I have yet to see another. Now I'm addicted and I can't stop.

This might be a weird work around I've found for sos chains. Instead of using attacks and draining your own pp, just keep using x attacks or a different battle item. Once that stat is maxed out, you'll spend a turn to "do nothing" and you even keep the item you just tried to use. Then the poke will have another chance to call for help

I have 6 shinies so far: Rockruff, Charjabug, Rowlet, Litten, Sandygast, and Mareanie. Rockruff and charjabug were like an hour a piece. Sandygast was an hour and thirty. Mareanie was by accident while breeding regenerator Mareanie, got it like 6 eggs in. Rowlet was within 50 eggs and Litten was within 125. Am I just lucky this gen or are shinies just easy as fuck to get?

if you want an SoS'd pokemon to be synchronized, keep a poke at the front of your party with whatever nature you want synch'd (that pokemon doesn't need synchronize) and then keep the poke with synchronize on the field.

the nature is always taken from the first pokemon in your party.

Level-50 or so

Explanation
He can go for infinity without any recources with recycleing the leppa berry, and recover his health.
Heal pulse can keep beldums from killing themselvs.
Brine is to put them close to half hp, they will typically take down and recoil themselvs below half, and after one call for help an it comes, brine will oko the wounded one guaranteed. Yet is very unlikely to kill them on a acidental crit.

Well yeah. Your Kadabra needs to be out on the field when a pokemon is SoS'd for the Synchronize to trigger, but it will use the nature of the first pokemon in your party in the calculation.

Daily reminder that your shiny does not count as a legitimate authentic shiny if your parents were hatched using a hacked or tampered with ditto or parents that were tampered with by a cheat device in anyway. If you got a perfect ditto over the GTS to breed for your shinies I can guarantee that it's hacked.

It's a shame that most shiny breeders use hacked parents that invalidate their shiny hatched pokemon. You might as well have just spent 4 seconds making a hacked shiny appear in the wild on an emulator because it's just as valuable as your shiny pokemon at that point. Completely worthless.

The parent passes down the hacked IVs to the baby and that infects the genetics of the baby with hacked IVs which makes it not legit. That and the fact that you had to cheat to use hacked parents to get him.

Currently hunting for shiny ditto for the past 3 days after the first one I encountered struggled itself to death since it wouldn't get in the fucking ultra balls. My current shinies caught so far is dewpider after 2 days worth of infestation bs, tentacool after 4 hours, yungoos within the first 10 minutes while I was grinding Atk EVs after taking a break from ditto chaining, and a Tsareena that I trained up from a shiny bounsweet that I caught in roughly 2 hours. Thats what I originally tried, still refused to get in the ball. I had a smeargle set up with just the move recycle that I used for the main ditto that was calling for help and had a hypno with switcheroo to give it a leppa berry so it would just spam recycle and use leppa berries endlessly. May just have to have the shiny ditto turn into smeargle then switch back to hypno, swap items with the original ditto, then switcheroo with the shiny one and hope it has a held item to swap for the leppa berry like quick powder.

Not sure if synchronize persists even when switched out or ko'd, especially with the addition of the sos system, but if you're hunting beldums, I'd recommend a ghost type pokemon so you aren't getting hit with take downs and more importantly preventing unnecessary recoil damage on the beldums.

Not the same magnemite anon, but I would offer you one if Pokebank was up to date. You can farm quite a few shinies in platinum if you get your chain high enough and are patient enough, which can help since you can trade the ones you don't want for other shinies or legendaries. Largest amount of shinies I've ever gotten in a single chain is 4 doduos.

I keep finding shinies while chaining for HA. Few hours ago I was trying to get a HA snowrunt for a cursed body Froslass and 26 mons in I got a shiny Glalie (Lol red eyes) so I had to break the chain to catch it.
