Is there ANY chance of a male pokemon with an everstone to not pass on its ability? All the information I found said that only female pokemon have a 80% chance to pass on the ability, meaning it should be a coinflip for males, but a boxful of Abras later I have to wonder if SM changed things.

It's not a burden. They are all spares that hatched or have one or two IVs out of place. They Staryu are all flawless except their attack is too high and/or they have Illuminate. since there seems to be a bunch of breeders starting out in sumo, i will bequeath the ditto iv chaining knowledge given to me last thread

you will need:
a trubbish with all moves except recycle deleted
a grimer with fling holding a leppa berry
a false swipe and sudstitute-using pokemon (cubone line, rowlet line, pancham line). i may my all-around scrappy pangoro with false swipe, slash, entrainment, and substitute

step 1: put the trubbish with ONLY recycle (no other moves) in front
step 2: find a ditto. it will transform and be helpless
step 3: swap to grimer and fling it the leppa berry. now it can never run out of pp
step 4: bring out your swiper and use substitute
step 5: false swipe the ditto, and use an adrenaline orb
step 6: chain until your swiper runs out of pp (you could also use a smeargle with fswipe, recycle, and a damage move, also holding a leppa berry, for infinite pp)

the summoned dittos can't transform on the substitute, the calling ditto can't heal or run out of pp, and your swiper can't be hurt and, potentially, never runs out of pp if you're using smeargle
