Well, finally here.

An attempt to train up a Lotad caught outside Fallarbor went horribly wrong when I got too overconfident and was reminded that Baltoy is actually fast and that Self-Destruct generally tends to hurt. Still, been grinding away, and provided I get past this that Golbat is probably going to occupy my last slot unless I catch a Hariyama or something. Really liking Aggron, too, first time I've properly used one.

I consider myself well-prepared, but it was Juan's Kingdra that did me in the last time I got there. Still though, no time like the present. Let's see how this goes.

It's also a shame when you hastily rush into Victory Road and Wally tears through your healing items.

Most of his team wasn't troublesome, but owing to Magneton's Magnet Pull when Agrron was in after dealing with Delcatty and Roselia I had to throw almost everything I had into PP stalling Thunderbolt. Thank god I kept Protect.

Also Breloom is this run's MVP without a shadow of a doubt, and Bulk Up is a godsend - tanked Whiscash and just Mach Punched Juan's entire team to death. Underhanded, but doubtlessly efficient.

I can confirm Bulk Up is indeed a fucking godsend in general. I defeated Lusamine's Bewear with my Machamp, while he was still a Machoke thanks to bulk up, which also allowed him to tank an Hammer Arm and survive with 4 HP.

Btw guys, I need suggestions. I suffered a few heavy losses today and right now I only have 3 pokémon on my team. Besides the ones I have boxed I only have 3 catches left (Route 13 which is a guaranteed Bruxish because of the no dupes rule, a possible Wailmer on Poni Breaker Coast and a random ice shitmon on Mount Lanakila)

I had a /wfg/ friend evolve my Machoke and the Graveler I had boxed, but which pokémon should I use to fill the 3 slots left? I'm thinking maybe training the Exeggutor and the Alolan Golem.

I'm also really fucking tempted to use Nebby, even though it's cheap as fuck

Krokorok is a really nice idea. I just remembered Acerola is an E4 as well, so Krookodile can cover for those. I don't think I'll use Staryu, it's a good pokémon but I already used it before in other occasions. Pretty much the same reason I have my Gyarados boxed. It's reliable, but overplayed

WishiWashi might be interesting, since it plays a neat gimmick. I might consider it, especially since even though I have a Water-type on me, I don't think my Golisopod likes to fuck with Rock-types

I suppose all that bulk should let it be able to tank a few hits, and I can get Krookodile to deal with Olivia's electric Golem

I also decided to train the meme tree, since I realized I actually have a few decent TMs to make it worth it

It's just the rules. Psuedo legendaries are not legendaries, I don't care if they're better or worse.

The basic Nuzlocke rules at their core are

>Catch the first pokémon in each area
>If it faints it can't be used anymore

Any other flavor rules (no legendaries allowed, no duplicates, no healing items etc) are things each person decides for their own challenge.

For the record the original Nuzlocke creator used a Victini in his B/W run that he hasn't updated in forever

How are you SuMo guys treating the routes? I just started, and route 1 is huge and has so many different areas. Did you count each area as its own?

Personally I use as reference the Summary screens. Thus I only get one catch for Route 1 as a whole

SOme people however seem to be using the Rotomdex which gives them 2 pokémon in route 1, one for the upper part and another for the Hau'Oli Outskirts

So, really, it's up to you
