Just beat Olivia, doing a blind nuzlocke and having a blast. Had some close shaves and almost lost miltank a couple times but she's a survivor

Hopefully there are some good mons on the third island because everything else I could tell would be sack fodder from the moment I got them. Fake Out + Bite Meowth gave me some good mileage though, considering I was sending him in to die every time and hax pulled through

Wishiwashi can be an absolute monster. If you dump half its EVs into HP, then its overall survivability goes up considerably. Give it leftovers, and use Aqua Ring on the first turn it's out, every other turn after that use protect for free heals. Spam Dive for even more free turns. Its school form's stats are in a tier of its own, clocking in at about 130 apiece. If you Baton Pass shit from Vaporeon, especially Substitute, then you can really get some momentum with Wishiwashi.

I caught Pichu early on since I wanted to use Alolan Raichu, but Pikachu is my second favorite Pokemon and Catastropika is such a cute Z-move that I'm reluctant to evolve him.

here's my team atm. just finished ghost trial.

i went with rimbombee largely just for type coverage and the fact that it's a special attacker. i kind of feel like the new pokemon are all physical with a few exceptions. i really don't care for salazzale's design. i would love to use palossand but i'm too bothered by type overlap. drampa and oranguru would be great if i was on moon.

i will probably buy a copy of moon and do another run with incineroar, golem, drampa, golisopod, palossand, and tsareena.

Team I beat the game with, but if anything goes wrong I get swept. Pokemon refresh saved me more than 7 times or more from getting K.O'd.

Not sure how to proceed. Thinking of swapping starter for alolan exeggutor when i find it. Might swap pikachu for grubbin despite the late evolution. Want to fit mimikyu in there somewhere too.

I have Dartrix, Ledian, and Growlithe so far. My rules are that there should be no type overlaps (counting Dartrix as Grass/Ghost for this) and that ideally there won't be more than one from any particular gen.

I can't decide what to add now. Maybe a Milotic if I could ever find a Feebas.

Really well so far. My Golisopod is modest, so that kind of sucks, but overall pretty easy.

Maq/golis/araq are the core. I have parasect in the box with spore/false swipe.

It just feels so weird to get a late game Dragon so quickly. I mean fuck I got Jangmo-O at Level 41 and I evolved to Kommo-O in like 15 minutes

A friend traded me the Vulpix, way ahead of where I am so not really using it until I get to a more appropriate point. Levels aren't even at all. 48 Vulpix, 36 A-Raichu, 27 Mareanie, 25 Wimpod, 22 Steenee. Vulpix is boxed so it doesn't gain more EXP, and I'm debating whether or not I want to get the others to 30 before moving on with the story (just got to 3rd island).

Gonna round my team out with Jangmo-o.

Bugs are great! I didn't realize how much I loved them until I was marathoning all the generations these past couple of months. Always had a bug with me, usually the regional. They still get a bad wrap from how garbage they were in the first couple of gens, but BW and now SM have really turned that around.
