Its design is just so perfect: simple, clearly a snake, but with just enough personality and embellishment to give it that distinctly "pokemon" look.

I like Cofagrigus for a lot of reasons. I think he's got a neat design thats grown on me over time, he's fun to use in game (though I pretty much have to breed a new one to use in most games because he doesnt show up much), he's got a unique niche in competitive play shutting down things like Mega Lopunny and Mega Khanga without being so OU that I see him everywhere.

Though damn, my love for Pelipper has really paid off in a big way recently too.

Exeggutor and tauros. I raped blue using a tauros and always found hilarious how vast his move pool is. Also I run it in ou for special tauros shenanigans, koing most of the meta with those x4 weaknesses. Exeggutor was the one I ran in yellow and well, was also broken. Even with those nasty weaknesses, OT has the bulk to survive most shit and recover with harvest. I used one with primal Groudon last year and won some regional tournaments. Both have sentimental and competitive value to me.

All waifufaggotry aside, this is the one that stuck with me the most. I got attached to several pokemon, like Butterfree and Sandslash but nothing comes really close.
I originally caught her to complete my dex and trade it for a Whimsicott but she just happened to be very fun to play and eventually she steamrolled the entire E4 on her own. She's just very cute and fun to use and my most cherished team member I ever had and I started playing when Red and Blue came out.

I just want them to be usable. Not even great, or even remotely competitive. I just want to be able to use one when I play.

Even in the TCG, where it could have had a chance to shine by getting rid of the "Only 4 of" ruling for it, but instead they gave that ability to fucking ARCEUS instead. They could have given it to Unown and have it work exactly like Sliver decks in MtG, and it would have been a super casual but at least somewhat usable deck.

And the actual games give it even LESS. Other gimmick mon at least have some niche they can fill. Even ditto got EXTREME use after its gimmick, by expanding the gimmick to other parts of the game. There is literally no reason that Unown shouldn't get SOMETHING.

Chose him the first time I played the copy of Red that my friend lent me, before I knew the concept of grinding to keep a team even or type strength/weaknesses which led to my poor Charmander/eleon getting rekt by Geodude and Onix many a time. Misty wasn't kind to us either. Going into the Elite Four with a Charizard that was 10 levels over, stacked with fire attacks, and the rest of the team 10-20 levels below made for some painful lessons as well, but when Christmas arrived that year, and I got my own copy of Red, I was ready. This time I would be the trainer Charmander and the rest of my team deserved, and we would't make it to the Champions Room dragging a leg and holding our wounded arms, but triumphantly as true Champions should do.

Zangoose. For my recent run of X I had a Zangoose from another game (I think it had come from one of my Unova games, but it's been a while), and I decided I should put him to use. He ended up being both my heavy-hitter and my false-swiper, and I ended up using him in every gym and league battle except Santalune, Cyllage, and Snowbelle (overleveled for each of them). Its funny because I tried using this same Zangoose in my earlier run of Y, and he kept getting one-shotted by stuff that shouldn't have taken him out.

Porygon-Z has always been my favorite and I always try to include one in my teams. I just immediately loved it as soon as I saw the Gen IV pokedex.
Unfortunately it's a trade evo and Porygon isn't usually available early on in the games. It's still special to me, though.
I was so happy when I learned Z-Conversion was a thing

Other than the epileptic duck, I've had Garchomp carry my entire team for so many playthroughs of various gens that I have to give it second place. It's probably the pokemon I've used the most overall given how difficult it is to get a Porygon early on in most games.

Golurk was amazing against Clemont and was a major cornerstone in random match ups. I paired him up with Heiliodisk to be a double hit with the competition. I named named it Liberty Prime after training it to level 70 then I started to train a new one named Iron Giant with fly as its signature move.

Phew, I wasnt late. Easily one of the top 10 best designed Pokemon, and Poison and Fighting are my favorite types. Toxicroak is awesome as well but Croagunk is just too perfect.

Abra has always been my favorite Pokemon. He just chills out and sleeps all day but has the freedom to teleport and go anywhere he wants. I admire that.

Mankey, Totodile, Staraptor were all ingame bros. Hitmontop, Slowbro, Cacturne, and Hippowdon were bros when I battled competitively.
