Hello /vp, a fa/tg/uy here.

All this winter ball talk has been making me itch to run a game of pokemon table top adventure.

It's not a typical pokemon setting. The PokeWar fucked the world over hard, to the point the Poke-Gods decided to intervene and hit humanity back to the iron age in some places. Others have recovered, and things are starting to get back to normal in some places. Not all, just some.

Be looking for about four to five players to fill out the party. You don't need to know how to play the system or even build a character, you just need to have a character concept in mind, and we can build them up from there.

Biggest complaint I had was your formatting. Learn how dialog is supposed to be formatted by paragraph. Also, read your own words back to yourself aloud. There were a few overused phrases and awkward phrasings in there that could have easily been caught in proofreading.

Otherwise, not bad for a first try. Decent use of humor to show just what /trash/'s business is.

A thesaurus can be helpful. Also, keep in mind different characters have a different voice, so finding that voice for each character is important. Don't feel pressured to use the same voice as other writers, but making characters distinct in certain speaking patterns is important.

The way I build those sorts of things is to take one positive aspect of the character and one negative aspect and use those as my bookends for thought process and speech patterns. For example, Teej is passionate and caring, but sometimes airheaded and in his own world. The problem with the /trash/ story is that they sort of sounded the same, like Trish or Vanille were talking into a mirror. It's not always something that's immediately obvious, but with enough practice and time it'll come naturally.
