Most gyms just don't change anymore where I live because of the cold.
So what's the point for me to go take a lvl 10 gym down when I know my team is not gonna keep it because basically gyms belongs to the team that have players that can access it from home.
I'm not losing 1h of my time to take a gym down just to lose it within hours. Especially considering the fact that my phone's battery last for about 1h30 when pogo is running

It's just me or are spawns longer now? Used to be 15 min mostly now I'm seeing semi-rare mons for 30+ min on radar.

Since the update, most big cities have a staple of gyms that are high level and constantly belong to the same team.
You just have to find yours and sneak for a spot there.
This update allowed me from measly 3-5 gyms a day to a nice round 10. Best part is I don't have to run like a retard hoping they don't take down the gym I just took.

I've gotten a fair amount of Tauros, but despite being level 22, I can't seem to get any of them to be higher than 450 CP. I guess it's just bad luck on my part. Then again, trading is probably months and months away, so I feel like holding on to anything would be a waste of space at this point since I only expanded my Pokémon storage once.

Gyarados and rk9 suck, so does dragonite really. They have really high CP, but they're really easy to take down. And even dragon breath lapras is good. Treeman is common and seed bomb isn't that bad either. Any gym can be taken down in 5 minutes if it only has one pokemon in it.

No, +100 star dust per defender is exactly the kind of shit that results in Bubblestrat-tier cheesing.

People will unironically make gyms of 8-10 Pokemon lineups of 10 CP, and then you will have teammates sabotaging the gym by intentionally putting in shitmons so they could farm Star Dust by grinding against that one shitmon non-stop until it's kicked out.

From a game design perspective, Star Dust shouldn't be a reward for battling. The Defender Bonus is already pretty high enough as it is. The Star Dust resource needs to be used for something that doesn't trigger some positive feedback loop of infinite Star Dust. That'd be plain stupid.

I was locked out of a gym adjacent to another while I was training (just 300 prestige away). And watched some fat cretin in his parked car knock out first mon of level 9 mystic gym (it was at 40.5k), login to 2nd account, put dragonite, go back to first (I think), knock first mon out, login into 3rd account, stick another dragonite in and drove off.

I was sitting on a bench on sidewalk and could see into his car from behind.

He kicked out a 2650 snorlax and a 2723 lapras. Leaving the gym all dragonites. Tore the gym down after he left. Thanks faggot

Well I kinda did answer that. A lure bot with one lure left got banned. I tried logging in on my phone and it failed. Figuring banwave. Closed app. Airplane mode switch, logged into legit account. Never had any problem.

My lure bot got the banned email for violating ToS. This was back in September.

However, if you're logging into a different team account doing a battle to a level 10 gym then switching and training and placing your mon in, i hope to god niantic will learn to figure the difference(vs friends account to catch a mon) and spot and ban those friendly fire fucks.

As in app? Fake GPS Go because I can't find FlyGPS anywhere, but contrary to the name, doesn't seem to be tailored to PGO. The small speed slider under the joystick seems to not be designed for PGO as it's from 1m/s to 50m/s and it's incredibly difficult to get it up from 1 to 2 reliably because of how small it is.
Something I'm unsure of is if mock location is more or less required to not be caught.

Sorry about what? This world doesn't have anything surprising anymore. All the good stuff (i.e space exploration and colonization) is locked behind at least one more millennium. Couldn't give a fuck if I ever went full blind.

This game is officially dead in my area. Gyms are all level 10 now and no one even attempts to touch them. I'm Instinct and I've been in 3 level 10 gyms for 2 weeks now. The rest of the city is Valor territory except the 3 gyms that Instinct owns.

There's a silent agreement where no one touches level 10 gyms anymore and lets them be. I used to get kicked out from gyms on a daily basis until recently.
