I don't cheat on my main account, nor my legit alts. The only one I "cheat" on is made specifically just to relieve the time I had catching stuff in Tokyo, which was fun as all hell. Not going to touch any gyms or anything, just walk around catching stuff because the place I do spoof that account to (which I will never not do) is filled with stops and lures so I have a fun experience if it's raining or snowing outside locally.

If I had the option to use a time machine for 5 minutes to visit some point in the future, one of the best uses I could immediately come up with is to see whether this game ever becomes good so I can know whether I'm wasting my time by actively playing right now

Got a gym down the street, a good 15 minute walk, so I walked my dog to it one day and found it to be already a level ten gym so I moved on and planned to check it out in a couple a days. I walk with bf to the gym this time, he is a valor and I use him to knock off a mystic in a level ten gym so I can put my guy in. Gym was level 9 so I didnt need him. So I destroyed one guy and when they were going to the next guy it "error"ed on me and didnt count the battle. But of course the guys i used who died in battle were still dead and needed to be revived. I tried to battle the gym again and it keeps saying "error". Now i am at a diner next to the gym eating pancakes. What do?

Alright I gave pic related the benefit of the doubt before, but now I know he definitely spoofs or uses something like GPSFly. I remember the first time he took my gym a few times the moment I just left it, I figured he might live in the appartement next to the gym. However it happend again yesterday and today at a whole different location in town. That gym could only be reached from the position I was standing at. No cars or brushes to hide behind either. Put a mon in there and a second later it was already down again.

Really depends on what is at the gym. I don't fight with my strongest usually, just to get more prestige down. However in average I use (many) Jolteon, Parasect, Golduck, Poliwrath, Hypno and new to my battle mons which I'm going to use a lot now are Arcanine and Vaporeon
Only 3: Dragonite (2 days), Gyarados (5 days) and Lapras (7 days). Was spending the week at home in my rural/sub-urban area which is dominated by Instinct and impossible to keep something for over an hour. Fortunately I should get into more stable gyms by next week I hope.

anyone else experienced a spike in the amount of 'duplicate spawn' pokemon?
when you caught/free the first one, then clicked on the duplicate, it just says error and disappears?
almost all of the spawns in my area now have 'doppelgangers' after the halloween event
