It would be great to have some kind of quest system that interacts between pokestops and nests or common pokemon around that area. Or some event that makes you walk around and catch stuff for a limited amount of time in an area like: a bellsprout group is passing by in this area, catch 5 in 15 minutes! and the reward could be incense, a lure module, a pack of ultraballs, candies or a rare mon that you don't have on your pokedex yet, for me could be a Tangela or any starter mon for example.

This way players like me that have >100 pokemon in their dex and have catched almost everything that spawns in their play places would still have an incentive to go out and play. The game already detects parks and certain delimited areas for nest placement and in most cases there are pokestops around these places, programming a quest like this would be piss easy (by Niantic standards).

What is the worst thing in this game and why is it people on your team who have another account/friend on the other team to kick your mon out of a level 10 gyms.

Seriously over the weekend I was kicked from all but 1 of the gyms I was in, when I went to check them out they were still owned by my team and level 10 but the bottom 3 people on each gym had been replaced. And some of the mons that got put in were lower than the one that were kicked out.

With all the gym stagnation in my area I'm probably not going to be able to get in any more gyms. Meaning I'm now stuck at 20-30 coins a day until someone kicks out my other mons from gyms.

Seriously this sucks

Personally, I think the worst part is how the company gives no fucks about the community of players.

Is like they're trying to sabotage the game on purpose.

There's a large harbor area in my town, to which noone who doesnt works there can go into. I live in a desert, by the shore. All around town, all we get are sandshrew and growlithe.

Using fast pokemap, we can see that inside the harbor, theres literally every other pokemon except porygon.

We cannot go in unless we work there, and for security reasons, they decided to forbid workers from playing PoGo anyway.

I don't know how to contact Niantic to ask them to move the pokemon from there... we have plenty of beaches, and even created a land bridge to link an island to the city, so why cant they move squirtle, tentacool, seel, shellder, etc... the water pokemon, to the island?

We also have parks, why cant they move the grass pokemon there?

Really, why can't we contact the company about it....

What is more, there's gyms inside huge factory complexes, that cannot be reached from the street, and the same is true of many pokestops.

The companys customer service is literally nonexistant.

often if I'm walking past an enemy gym I'll just do one battle (killing as many mons as possible) and just leave it at that
I enjoy the battling (even though the system sucks, it feels like my effort in getting strong mons isnt going to waste)
because of this the gym will be left slightly below a tier and someone else may come along and train it up to get a spot

I'd assume this is happening in more cases than the malicious version (at least in my area) because I often see a single mon being knocked from a gym and being left in that state for a while, which wouldn't be the case if they were knocking it out specifically to get a spot on another account

I agree. I live across the street from a local college with lots of pokestops inside, and today I spent about 2 hours walking around and collecting 1 pokestop/minute, and i still got nowhere near enough potions for... anything, really.

Not only did I mostly get basic pokeballs and berries, the few pots i got are the basic type.

Im level 33 now, almost 34... if they are so keen on saying its not a game, and that its meant to be enhanced reality, why wont they let me pick up stuff I would actually use.

Yeah basically, dunno what happened to Valor and Instinct have always been the underdogs.
I'm surprised no one has taken down my Instinct gym yet, propably because it's a good 10 minute walk from the rest of everytime else so no one bothers to go there.

I'll tell you what, by the time I'm level 30 I'll have gotten myself quite the formidable team, if they are still all Mystic I'll go out and single handily take them all down and post results. See you all in like fucking January or something because leveling up at this stage is a bloody grind.

this is still a thing? Kinda doubt it to be honest. Times changed from when this game went of like a rocket in the early one to two weeks where basically everyone played it. I even met a really hot chick and she casually gave me her number. Kinda ditched her for hardcore exp. grinding one of the other days though I regret nothing But since then time has passed and basically only weirdos are left. I consider myself pretty normal but except two or three of my good friends nobody knows I'm still playing. Everyone kinda has moved on with their regular lifes after the hype has died, attractive people playing are basically exstinct or very secretive about it.

I guess if your goal is to get 10 Dragonites in the gyms so you blast through them with Lapras then it's a good plan. Or if you have no chance of beating the gym then might as well.

1. Sniping is still an issue. It's been months since the rollout. I mean, come on! I've been sniped of the 10th/9th slot for like 10 times since the update!

2. HP rollback bug
- When you dodged an enemy charge attack and the server initially thinks that your pokemon should have the full damage then kills it. Annoying as fuck and mess up your entire plan/line up especially if that dragonite can still supposedly take out at least the next one enemy pokemon. Costs me a hundred revives and tons of swearing.

3. Attacking a level 10 gym (50k) will bring the prestige down to 49k which kicks out the lowest pokemon. This is abused by players who have multiple accounts. They kick the lowest and level it back up to 10 to add their own. Also, isn't the kick out supposed to happen when a significant prestige was lost because the entire gym line up was defeated? This right here is the cause of the problem in gyms where the lowest CP pokemon is 2.5k average.

4. GPS drift 10 minutes lockout. This shit right here. This shit. Why the fuck is it 10 minutes and not just the 100 seconds allotted for the current pokemon? And why can't they come up with an algorithm that maybe guess whether it was just a drift and not an outright bike run?

5. Connection lost - Not saving the progress. Believe it or not, this happened to me last night. I was attacking a level 7 gym (which i brought down from level 10) and when I was already in the last pokemon with just a few hits left, game client lost connection. Waited for like a minute before giving up and restarting it. The gym prestige wasn't affected. Wasted like 10 minutes on that round with literally nothing gained. I just gave up right then and there and just went home. I cri.

6. Damage system is ridiculous. Dodge hydropump from enemy hits the same damage as an undodged hydropump to enemy (vape vs vape). An undodged FIRE blast will cut my VAPOReon's hp in half.

7. No real incentives (1 hour of tapping on screen outside, hurr be alert of your surroundings). Successfully attacking for 10 minutes a level 10 gym for 1 round only gives ~1k exp. I can earn the same exp from catching on a lure spot in less than a minute. At least give some stardusts and increase the exp.

8. You have to fucking select each and every pokemon again each round because the game thinks your 1.5k Rhydon will do well with a 2.8k CP snorlax. Last line up should be cached or at least be an option. And have some feature to have pre-selected line ups.

9. Pokemon storage can be expanded to 1000 but there's no real filtering when it comes to gym line up selection. At least have a filter by type. Scroll through hundreds of favorited pokemons? Name conventions? Nicknames are limited to like potato number of characters. CP sorting only helps when selecting a defender, not attacking.

10. Enemy becoming invinsible. Maybe a minor one, but still. You can't tell if the enemy is charging up for the charge attack or if the connection is just slow. It's annoying. Instead of doing the regular 3 fast attacks, you're stuck with 2 because you're worried a body slam might hit you.

11. Gym badges doesn't mean shit. At least give some bonus like exp/stardust or even pots/revives when taking out gyms.

12. When you join an on going battle in a gym, your 100% hp pokemon immediately gets hit by an invisible force that it's hp is reduced to 20%. This god damn bug has been there since like forever and it messed up my line up for like at least 20 times.

It seems my neighborhood slightly improved. There's definitely a NidoranF spawn that could occasionally be reached from my home and I think there is an Exeggcute spawn as well nearby. My town is pretty balanced between Valor and Mystic - Instinct is rare now.

The problem is there is one Valor crew of 5-15 that are occupying 30-50 gyms. All level 31+ with gyms starting 2000-2400.

I've listened to them talk about how they are all 10 gyms each for month, then watch them take down another 10 gyms last night.

I see the big problem being that you can be in more gyms than you can collect in. That is what kills it for most people in gyms, so stagnation will continue until they put a cap on how many gyms one person can be in at once.

I used to buy/wear $40 cheap-o shoes from Target but my size 12-13 feet supporting my fat ass usually shreds them once a year from regular use. If two people pf the same team are taking down a gym, and one of them captures it and puts in a mon while the other one is still taking down the last mon, would the game consider it an attack against the gym and decrease the prestige as a result? Happened to me today, app froze after the last mon was down, and after restarting, the gym had 1500 prestige instead of the usual 4000. I defeated two mons, so the difference in prestige is the same ( - 2500).

At least half of the gyms in my area actually don't pay out anything because there overrun by people who can't even collect on them.

The gyms are just ornaments mostly.
