Two enemy teams full of players is already enough to deal with but why do we have to deal with 100% of the playerbase instead of 66%?

I don't put Dragonites into gyms precisely because they are easy as fuck to deal with. A 1800 CP Lapras gives me more grief than a 3k CP Dragonite. I have dozens of counters for each type, including 12+ Pokemon whose sole purpose in life is to chew through a 3000 CP or higher Dragonite, and that's not including my own Dragonites. I shouldn't have to wake up every morning and see that all our lv 9-10 gyms swapped out the frontrunner for somebody with more CP until the minimum bar of entry is a 2500 CP Dragonite. Then 2 hours later, the gym is gone because smashing a Dragonite stack is so fucking easy for any of the twenty thousand Mystic spoofing shitheads with stacks of Dragonites.

I'm mad because retards like >>29515310 know they are being shitheads but don't realise they are actually making the gym worse off for everyone on their team, not just for the kid they kicked out. All because they're a lazy cunt who can't be assed to farm dust for better fighters to take over and hold another gym with.

I don't mind competition when it comes from the enemy team. That's to be expected and basically the point. If some Mystic spoofing shit decided to take down the gym overnight, I don't mind biking over to reclaim it. But when it comes from teammates, that's just infuriating. If you had that much free time to boost up a second account to lv 20, you probably could have farmed enough extra dust to power up a Pokemon to lv 40 by then, or two Pokemon to lv 30.

Honestly, the idea that gyms should stay under the same team's control for more than a day is far worse than people knocking out the mons at the bottom. No turnover in gyms means that new players have no point of entry. My city is more or less entirely covered in level 10 Valor gyms, only three of which I managed to get into before they hit the limit.

If a player's behavior encourages the other team to take down a level 10 gym, that's a GOOD thing.

I've been a slob for all 21 years of my life, riding off of excessively good metabolism to keep me at a health weight. Now, at 21, my metabolism is slowing down and I'm noticing slight weight gain. I could be paranoid because nobody else in my family has noticed but i used to float 55-60 kg (5'10'') and am now float 60-65kg.

Regardless, this game has given me the motivation that I needed to go for more walks and has been the catalyst for me to pick up running. This is not just a game to me, it really helped me pick up my fitness.

Each defeated Pokemon is +100 xp. So in a 50,000 prestige gym, that's like +10k xp if you solo it down.

Find another solution, like I don't know maybe using real world interactions such as getting people to take photographs of place already in the database. Like the pokestop from time to time. E.g. you verify where you are by taking a photograph of an object at your location. If you image does not match then you are not there.
I think the people making pokemone go need to get outside and fucking think about what they are doing. Seems like all they doing is think about how to do what they are currently doing better. The problems with pokemon go are fundemental and require a change of game play and game structure.

Taking photographs could actually be useful too, since now you have a catch a like system lineed to geolocation.

There are people all walking around the parks staring into their phones with the music and sound effects on.

You get to people watch nerds and hideous trailer park women with hording problems (now manifested in hording pokemon) run from spawn to spawn.

You all agree to take down that smug level 10 gym. (Almost) Everything that's wrong with the gym system

1. Sniping is still an issue. It's been months since the rollout. I mean, come on! I've been sniped of the 10th/9th slot for like 10 times since the update.

2. HP rollback bug
- When you dodged an enemy charge attack and the server initially thinks that your pokemon should have the full damage then kills it. Annoying as fuck and mess up your entire plan/line up especially if that dragonite can still supposedly take out at least the next one enemy pokemon. Costs me a hundred revives and tons of swearing.

3. Attacking a level 10 gym (50k) will bring the prestige down to 49k which kicks out the lowest pokemon. This is abused by players who have multiple accounts. They kick the lowest and level it back up to 10 to add their own. Also, isn't the kick out supposed to happen when a significant prestige was lost because the entire gym line up was defeated? This right here is the cause of the problem in gyms where the lowest CP pokemon is 2.5k average.

4. GPS drift 10 minutes lockout. This shit right here. This shit. Why the fuck is it 10 minutes and not just the 100 seconds allotted for the current pokemon? And why can't they come up with an algorithm that maybe guess whether it was just a drift and not an outright bike run?

5. Connection lost - Not saving the progress. Believe it or not, this happened to me last night. I was attacking a level 7 gym (which i brought down from level 10) and when I was already in the last pokemon with just a few hits left, game client lost connection. Waited for like a minute before giving up and restarting it. The gym prestige wasn't affected. Wasted like 10 minutes on that round with literally nothing gained. I just gave up right then and there and just went home. I cri.

6. Damage system is ridiculous. Dodge hydropump from enemy hits the same damage as an undodged hydropump to enemy (vape vs vape). An undodged FIRE blast will cut my VAPOReon's hp in half.

7. No real incentives (1 hour of tapping on screen outside, hurr be alert of your surroundings). Successfully attacking for 10 minutes a level 10 gym for 1 round only gives ~1k exp. I can earn the same exp from catching on a lure spot in less than a minute. At least give some stardusts and increase the exp.

8. You have to fucking select each and every pokemon again each round because the game thinks your 1.5k Rhydon will do well with a 2.8k CP snorlax. Last line up should be cached or at least be an option. And have some feature to have pre-selected line ups.

9. Pokemon storage can be expanded to 1000 but there's no real filtering when it comes to gym line up selection. At least have a filter by type. Scroll through hundreds of favorited pokemons? Name conventions? Nicknames are limited to like potato number of characters. CP sorting only helps when selecting a defender, not attacking.

10. Enemy becoming invinsible. Maybe a minor one, but still. You can't tell if the enemy is charging up for the charge attack or if the connection is just slow. It's annoying. Instead of doing the regular 3 fast attacks, you're stuck with 2 because you're worried a body slam might hit you.

11. Gym badges doesn't mean shit. At least give some bonus like exp/stardust or even pots/revives when taking out gyms.

my snorlax is pretty close (the event helped a lot), my vaporeon is max, gyarados too. arcanine, exeggutor and dewgong are very close. i have to spend those rare candies on power ups instead of evolutions because the competition has gotten quite strong and i almost never see IVs above 80% (when i do, they evolve with shit moves)

level 26 here, finished the dex few days ago

I got a Halloween mask that I was excited about wearing, but it seems like all my friends/family will be busy or have conflicted schedules so no one can really organize an event. I didnt have an excuse to wear my mask anymore. My brother worked kinda hard on his costume too.

I decided its the season, so might as well go walk around and catch Pokemon during this event while wearing my mask. I have bad allergies tho so I do it late at night when the pollen count is low.

People do not react very well to it. I have people cross the road and cars stop and try to avoid me. My mask muffles my voice a lot so I try to avoid talking, which just comes off creepier now if people try to talk to me on the streets. They just kinda seem to get uneasy and I hear them talking to their friends about it. Been doing this for a few days now and still the same reactions.

Plus side tho is I got a shit ton of candies and evolved a lot of pokemon. The eggs I hatch net me enough candy to have my babies set up for life! Got my buddy to evolve finally as well. Got to scare a bunch of college kids and get a lot of pokemon. Overall a good time.
