I found out that vaporeon max CP is 2816, which means that at this point if you want a spot on a gym you need to power up Dragonite, snorlax, treeman, arcanine and larpas (on that order).

took the cover off and dropped the battery out without even taking the time to read the message properly

PoGo closed randomly and removed the shortcut from my home screen upon force updating once. Also, it seems pressing "back" outside of menus now minimizes the app. Lastly, if it keeps happening when you tab out and come back to PoGo, it means you have some kind of limit on how many simultaneous apps you can run so it bumps it out. Mostly neutral. My town was already buried with Drowsies and Gastlys, so the only direct benefit was the Cubone mass gathering since I could get Marowak as dex entry and grind my Ground catcher badge. Somewhat ironically, Drowzees are super rare now, just Gastlys and Cubones and the occasional Meowth. Sucks that they didn't include the Abra family in this, still have some candies to collect before getting my 'Zam entry.

I do similar with my 1191 Vaporeon WG/HP and the results are fantastic.
I've evolve so many Starmie and none of them have WG/HP yet though. Some with WG, some with HP, none with both.
That said Starmie are still pretty damn frail but they seem to take very little damage when you dodge correctly.

I've never seen in the wild or hatched a Snorlax and Lapras. I never hatched a Dratini either.

Seems that there is a problem with distance tracking, I had to close the app to get my distance checked, I was able to catch mons and spin stops and shit.

Understand the difference between high CP-capped gym defenders and things that have other uses. My 2300 Vaporeon is good against 2300+ Snorlax. My 1900 Blastoise is good for 2000-2200 CP Arcanine because Vaporeon is higher CP. Shitmon like Cloyster, Dewgong, Clefable and Wigglytuff take out Dragonite over half their CP. Most Electrics can deal with Gyarados also ~2× their own CP.

Learn how each of your pokemon benefit you and you'll enjoy every last goddamn one on your roster.

IVs aren't too important, it's one thing if you've got a bro you've been gradually powering up as you level up too, but if the stardust cost is too great to get it up to high levels it's not worth it.

Consider keeping it at that level if you've got a nice Parasect or something, it could help out nicely with prestige training because Parasect has a high resistance to grass attacks and Exeggutor has a strong weakness to bug type attacks.
