ToTT: Went to one last Saturday, pulled M Venusaur EX, FA Mewtwo EX, FA M Pidgeot EX, Nidoking BREAK and 2 Exeggutors. Not sure if I want to go to more since I already got the Charizard Prerelease promo (inb4 people tell me I should collect them all)

Whats the going rate for a FA N? Prices in the market are all over the place.

It's still in testing stages but I've gotten more confident in it as time has gone by after playing a few decks and having a ton more hours into the game.

It could definitely use some fine tuning since I don't think I feel it's at its peak but then again mawile is kind of a shit card. It only has 190 HP which hurts a LOT since it means you get KOd a lot easier than other megas and the cost of its attack is way too high to be justified.

That being said it's fun, though you auto lose to scizor. But scizor might be an irrelevant matchup soon enough if it doesn't get results soon.

You could also try farming VS with theme decks, or check every week to see if you can get into theme tournaments with tokens instead of tickets. There's also the real money options but those should be obvious.

You could also try using this thing, I'm new too and haven't used it myself but it should provide a baseline to which you can compare the actual trades you see posted. Just avoid the shilling for trading companies and try to undercut those prices to get some sure deals.
Remember that those prices should just be a baseline, I'm sure that with a little practice and searching you can get better deals.

Yeah, as I was saying one should that info with a grain of salt since it seems like it's shilling for a trading company, but it's still quite handy to have a list with all the prices, you just need to keep in mind to shave 2-3 pack off each price.
Also the best tip for trading online and IRL: buy low, sell high.

I personally don't have a trading scheme as efficient as the ariados meme but I do have a couple cards I have created a cycle with, it's only a few packs a day but it's pretty solid so far.

I think it's just a matter of the card game company not thinking through their design. They give certain cards ridiculously good energy costs but then make others cost a bunch because fuck you.

I really think m-mawile would be a solid tier 2 deck in fact if it had:

Miltank isn't needed at all now that we have FOGP. Just do 4-4-4, max out Shaymin, warm the bench with either Virizion and some DCE secondaries, then learn how to juggle two different Stadiums.

Instead of comparing a totally different card, a better comparison would be, you know, all the cards that literally have the same attack.

Meaning Darkrai EX, Xerneas Break, PRC Huntail, and M Gardevoir. All of which have been analyzed thoroughly.

Unlike those cards, this one has 250 fucking HP, all the consistency and support that comes with [W], and two other attacks we haven't read yet. The GX attack in particular only costs DCE, too.

It's really down to those other two attacks. Unless they're literally unusable, this card isn't bad yet.

It's funny, because I run Gira/Dark but for some reason it didn't pop into my head as the direct comparison.

The issue for me still comes that it's not a basic, darkrai can literally come in first attack turn and hit for 60+ damage fairly consistently even if you don't start first.
This would need at least 2 turns assuming you have the poplio, the evolution, and the rare candy in your hand.

Now to be fair, you have diveballs but I dunno. A Gira/Maidleo combination seems too janky for me right now.

The Stage 2 is definitely a minus, but there are advantages.

250 HP means M Fug literally can't OHKO it. Night March can't OHKO it. M Mewtwo needs EIGHT energies between them to OHKO. And those are the big-damage decks; imagine Volcanion or Darkrai having to slog through three Wailords that can fight back to win.

This is also a much faster-paced, lower-damage format than last. Vileplume is a much softer lock than Trev/Toad. The OHKO options have limitations and sometimes take multiple turns to set up. Putting down a Mega is as fast as dropping a Rare Candy. You have cards like the upcoming Solgaleo that can make it a lot harder to give up prizes.

And while GX Pokemon give up two prizes, their NFEs don't, making the prizes odd even if you end up having to give up a KO.

It's also worth mentioning that GX Pokemon aren't EX Pokemon, meaning they work with Wally and Brigette.

I guess I'm more talking about GX Pokemon in general, but if the other two attacks on that card end up being good, this will definitely be on people's radar despite being Stage 2.

This is true enough, I guess I'm a little hesitant is all.

I'd be a bit more worried if there were any relevant grass decks right now, and to be honest that might come true due to the new electric bug that does electric and grass ramping.

It's too early to predict, I definitely don't think it's a crap card. If anything it's already the card with the most potential but we'll see how other cards pan up against them.

Raichu can't OHKO meta threats, and M Ray is an EX
Shiftry doesn't rely on Sky Field as hard, has much better damage scaling, a consistency ability, and access to some of the fastest type-support in the game.
