Whenever I watch this fight it always feels like I'm watching it for the first time, and it is usually completely awesome.
In the sub

What the dub does wrong is the voice acting. Shota sounds too mature for his looks, the announcer isnt hype enough like he was in the sub, making the roaring of the audience scene awkward, and then the music absolutely ruins the feeling of the battle. No matter how shit the battle could be, it's the music that at least makes it good. The trashy background music during the fight just makes it boring and intolerable. The dub could at least try and make it awesome, but it utterly fails in all sections. No wonder nobody likes it.

I just really hope that SM will still have Ash compete in competitions and tournaments because the school shenanigans will get old really fast. I can't see SM running as long as previous series. SM2 or whatever will probably be more like the what the pokemon anime used to be. in OS-XY.

We don't even know how long gen 7 is supposed to last. It might be a two-year affair for all we know, it'd be strange for Game Freak to wait that long to release a main title on the NX especially since they've confirmed they're already working on the system.

Although another possibility is that they release NX games but they'll still count as gen 7. After all, the Pokémon models would be the same and Pokémon Bank would assure compatibility between SM and hypothetical NX games.
