The badges screen shows you this.
Bronze badges give +1 capture bonus for that type, silver badges give +2, gold badges give +3.

When you encounter a Pokémon, these badges are briefly displayed at the top for each of the Pokémon's types as applicable.
If the Pokémon is dual-type, your capture bonus is the average of the two badges, not the sum. Gold + Silver will be +2.5 for example.

It's not entirely clear how meaningful these bonuses are yet. I'm hoping that for the especially tricky catches like the starters, it helps out a lot.

for those who don't know, apparently the idle pokeball juggling animation isn't just for show.
You have to flick the ball all across the screen right when the idle animation shows the ball being thrown upwards and rolling in the direction that would make it roll away from you if it were were lying on the surface (it's always the first animation and then it happens every other time).
I hope this explanation is coherent enough to understand, my english is shit

Only Rapidash is a problem with curveballs and it's not because of the distance but size of the catching circle.

Curveballs do go far if you start from one diagonal edge and swipe to the opposite diagonal edge.

There's a new unlisted feature in the latest update for Pokémon Go Plus users. At least I think this is newly introduced.
You can now toggle notifications for nearby Pokémon and Nearby PokéStops.
I guess this is useful if you wanna ignore catching Pokémon for some reason to focus on farming PokéStops, conserving Poké Balls.

Level 10 gyms are so unfair. There's a ton around me, and they haven't changed at all for the past two or three weeks. I can't do anything about it because they're all my colour. I understand that you want to reward people for putting in an effort to claim something, but it's pretty damn frustrating when you can't use half of the gyms in your area because YOUR OWN TEAM has claimed them already.

Allowing you to bump off weaker mons in gyms of your own colour is probably not the right answer either, though, since that'd make the turnover of lv10 gyms even worse, since spoofers will just fill them all up with 3000CP Dragonites.

The only useful things I hatched out of >70 5k eggs were a bit of candies for grassmons.
Out of the ones unchecked, the only ones with more than 10 candies are Seel and Growlithe.
Ekans, Vulpix, Diglett and Ponyta are very rare, little hope of evolving them without getting two more eggs of each.
