So I hit level 25 recently and I'm wondering. Are Max Potions any more useful than a Hyper Potion? Only edge case I can think of would be if my Chansey actually won a fight by the skin of it's teeth.

Is it still possible to spoof smartly (Sit in Central park for a day, wait 12-24 hours and go back to Bumfuck, Illinois) to catch some pokemon that aren't in your area? Working a full time position doesn't afford me the opportunity to drive two hours for a chance at one or two abras.

As someone who actually traveled to NYC recently and went to Central Park, they have a much better variety of Pokemon than anywhere else I've been. I don't know what it's like in Bumfuck Illinois, but I'm sure you'll be catching more than just one or two Abra if you decide to do it.

That said I can't answer your question accurately, as I've never spoofed, but I would assume that Niantic may have a way of knowing who's using the spoofers aside from tracking their distance, otherwise they'd be banning anyone who travels anywhere outside their normal area.

My device don't have GPS at all. It also doesn't have 3G capabilities. It works by using only wifi positioning system and internet routed from a phone. It is pretty frustrating when a rare pokemon spawns in an area where the wifi positioning bug and doesn't let me in. Right now there is a blatoise in the store in the same block but if I go there the positioning system puts me in the other side on the street 70m away. At least it is good for hatching eggs.

I only can play by spoofing. GPS doesnt work so it only positionates by wifi. I use the spoofing but joystik wont work so I just open app - check place - stay in there - take what I can - close app - start again. Is there a moveset calc yet? Find it odd i keep seeing good movesets on my 70% or so IV pokes at least when I see them in the wild and they are 2nd /3rd stage.

I have cricket (not the best service in my area only 3g) and my phone has a horrible gps making it so that even if my friends get something and I'm with them I sometimes won't be able to find it since my character is like three blocks way.

man poliwrath has got the be the pokemon that I've gotten the most of yet still haven't gotten a good one
I've evolved 4 so far with 82+ IVs and just can't manage to get bubble/hydropump, or even bubble/ice punch which I'd be just as happy with
then 4 that i've caught area all babies (31, 32, 33, 101 cp)

Hey pokesear.ch guy! What if you introduced an IV and move search on demand? The user would have either to click on the pokemon and choose to scan IV one by one instead of auto-scanning everything in the map? Or maybe have a limited list to fill to scan IVs

gyms here are stagnant. 5+ level 10 mystic gyms and 1 level 10 valor gym with the 5 2700+cp dragonites stuck in it.

My plan is to bully the one gym until I break it down, releasing all the dragonites and drawing valor back to the area so they can chip mystic gyms. Hopefully then I can have a slot to fucking deposit something

I swear to god, it's as though Poké Balls are becoming "defective" lately.
Things are popping back out before it can even shake, even much weaker things.
It's incredibly aggravating, it's as though they're artificially increasing the failure rate.

Honestly I've noticed most of it is bias because things just have Higher CPs than when I started. My rule fo thumb is that unless it's a mon I really want if it's over 200 cp it's probably gonna be a bitch and I can ignore it. I walk eggs more now though since I've caught everything in my area.

I understand if slightly higher level things escape Poké Balls, but the disconcerting bit is that it's been happening *instantly*, no even one or two shakes to humour you but very shortly after the ball lands.
And this is with significantly weaker encounters too, I think something is up.

Incidentally, does anybody else ever get this surreal issue where the first Poké Ball you throw sometimes gets thrown 2-3 times harder than you actually threw it? Even the gentlest of throws for something like a weedle end up going too far. I've no idea if it's a software bug or an issue with my phone (because the app doesn't seem to play nicely on LG G3 phones actually), but it's also only ever the first Poké Ball in any given encounter, never subsequent throws.
