You create new teams with each new generation based on the legendary trios.

In gen2 everyone gets a fresh start and choose from team Entei, Raikou and Suicune. It would eliminate the imbalance and make everything easier for new players and existing ones who get fucked by having 1 team dominate their area due to the sheer amount of imbalance.

Last night I updated PokeSear.ch to a more recent version. This brought several new changes that I'll try to outline here to avoid confusion.

IV scanning has been enabled. If you don't care about IVs or know what IVs are then you don't need to worry about this and you can skip to next section. Not every pokemon has its IVs grabbed as it adds extra strain to the server that I am trying to minimise. Currently, the pokemon that have their IVs grabbed are:

Bulbasaur, Venusaur, Charmander, Charizard, Squirtle, Blastoise, Pidgeot, Pikachu, The Nidoran Family, Wigglytuff, Growlithe, Arcanine, The Poli Family, Exeggutor, Magikarp, Gyarados, Lapras, The Eevee Family, Aerodactyl, Snorlax, Dratini, Dragonair, and Dragonite

Feel free to suggest others and I can consider based on the responses.

As for coloured spawn points. The more similar in hue two spawn points are, the more similar of a time they'll spawn. So when a spawn point says every hour 56:26 to 11:26 that means that a pokemon will spawn at that point at 56 minutes and 26 seconds past each hour and it'll remain there until it despawns at 11mins 26secs past the next hour.

Ranges is a new option which allows you to see the distance from a mon you need to be in order to catch it. Only shows if you zoom in a bit.

The stats page is better now. Should just load much faster and be better for finding nests.

Scans are still hexagonal but they now fill out in a different pattern. Doing this ensures that less circles fail and also that my scanning accounts don't get banned as fast.

Scanners now share out proxies much better, this will up the likelihood that a scan will be successful as before, if the proxy was banned either temporary or permanently, the scan would just not begin.

They seem like good picks. Not sure why Pidgeot is there but this seems to make most rares with somewhat ok combat compatibility to tier 1 and 1.5s. Only 1.5 missing is Omastar actually according to https://pokemongo.gamepress.gg

As I said in the last thread, consider adding IVs/moves for all fully evolved Pokémon. If I knew the Blastoise in front of me is a 30% one with Flash Cannon, I wouldn't waste 10 Ultra Balls on it. Non-fully-evolved 'mons don't matter since the moves will change upon evolution but the IVs of the top ones like Growlithe, Exeggcute, Slowpoke, etc. should still be visible.

Also Machop since there's a fuckton of them around my workplace.

hatched pokemon are your best bet at getting good IVs, so you hatch one, if its good good IVs you evolve it, if its got good moves you power it up

if all you care about is raw dps and are happy to tank every hit, using your charge move perfectly as soon as its charged up, then dragon breath/hyperbeam is the best set

if you're actually fighting properly, weaving attacks between dodges, as well as weaving charge moves between dodges, dragon breath/dragon claw is way way way better, as dragon claw is so fast you can weave that between enemy fast attacks as well as charge ones. depending on who you're attacking, hyper beam also will return a lot of overkill on enemies, as the moment it is fully charged does not line up with a point where they can always take the full damage from it. if you hold onto to move until the next pokemon, your dps quickly drops down below dragon breath/dragon claw anyway

overall dragon breath/dragon claw is much better for someone who battles properly and is conservative about their pokemons hp (which you'll often need to be with dragonite as his hp pool is kind of low and defence doesnt help enough)

but like I said, if you're just fighting a single pokemon and all you want is raw dps, go ahead and use dragon breath/hyper beam

I'd rather use a razor leaf/solar beam victreebel any day against something weak to grass
there are no relevant pokemon with overlapping psychic and grass weaknesses currently around that I can think of (I don't consider nidos as very relevant)

as such I believe the only reason to get as an exeggutor is to use it for defense (unless you have no other 'general purpose' attacker yet and just need to fill the spot for now) which is why I say he's a defender not an attacker

I have a micro tentacool nest (every other hour on my block) and mini horsea nest (3-4 every 2 hours) and tentacools are honestly becoming not wants.

At least horseas are usable for training gyms with double water.

I noticed that I'm the biggest pokesear.ch user in my entire country by a large margin and I still haven't found a single micro-nest. Well I found an omanite micro-nest near a friend house but I didn't had time to go there and farm it and them the nests shifted and seems like it is gone.

No db/hp is the best and if you have one 3k dragonite, thats the one you want to battle with cause u can set up two ideal matchups with next best mons, then have dragonite plow your way through the snorlaxes to allow your laprases to finish the job killing the dragonites at the top of level 10 gym. D claw or d pulse are significantly better defenders if the gym is only level 4 and the attacker's dragonite can actually reach yours.

An 1800 lapras can easily beat a 2.8k dragonite with hyper beam. So easy to dodge. Renders useless for anything but scaring off <lvl 20 plebs/normies and collecting 10 shekels.

You really need two tho if the gym starts at 2500. Losing (only beating 7-9 pokemon) makes the process real slow. That 9-8 is tough. Pic related
