Feels great to have a Nest of one of my favourites pokemon nearby. Though I don't know if I should call it a nest, it spawns oddish in a big area (bigger than the in-game nearby list) and never more than 3 of them close between them.
I'm halfway through my Vileplume now, doesn't seem like the chances of it getting shit moves are very high.

Besides that I been having new entries on my pokedex for 5 days in a row, I could evolve a machoke and get another one today but I want to have a decent one (in case Niantic ever balance this game).

Beat it with a weaker mon, also many people only have one or two strong mons, not everybody have a powered up counter to everything. You should be thankfult thatit isn't one those jerks who leave a fucking snorlax as the weakest mon.

To attack a gym you can come in 2 or 3 and gang on a strong mon but to train it you need to beat it 1x1 and if you beat it with a stronger mon you get shit prestige.

The other day there was a 530 arbok and a 1250 snorlax at the bottom, didn't even bothered. I'm way too spoiled by gyarados, flareon and treeman and this point, way too easy to counter and you get like 750+ prestige per battle.

I'm a pretty casual player, been playing since release and only lv 21. Recently (last week or so) there have been a lot of rare evolved mons showing up in my suburban neighborhood. Is it normal that they are so weak? It's really annoying, the last 1000+ pokemon I caught was a Lapras a month ago.

What are some of the bros you want to have a good moveset of even if it won't be a powerful attacker? Pic related, arguable my fav from Gen I, Bug Bite and Solarbeam would be cool to have to fight against Exeggutor and Vaporeon and friends. Thought at first that I could get one with X-scissor as well, but since its damage output isn't too impressive, it'd be better to just keep Bug Biting and dodging rather than leaving yourself open for a full-on attack.

It's not a perfect moveset but my strongest Lapras has it and he can kill 3-4 2500CP or so Dragonites by herself so I'd say probably worth it. Supposedly Frost Breath/Blizzard is best for attacking and Ice Shard/Ice Beam is best for defending though I never cared.

In terms of mechanics it doesn't change anything so far. In terms of gyms on one hand if you choose the team with most gyms there are better chances of you finding a gym with a free spot, on the other hand these teams have more people so the competition for the free spot will be higher. Also beating rival gyms is easier than leveling up a friendly gym so there will be little you can do if a friendly gym have no free slot and the first slot is a snorlax since you have to beat it on 1x1 but if it is an enemy gym you can beat up stronger mons since you can use 6 mons and if other players are attacking with you they will aid your battle. I recommend you to see what team your friends play so you can go together to take gyms.

Does anyone else with a scanner occasionally see a pokemon that isn't actually there? A charmander showed up the other day but wasn't there when I got to its supposed location. My friend who runs 4 different scanners said it showed up on all of them as well. The same thing just happened with a nidoqueen, and he once again corroborated it with his 4 scanners. In both cases, the same pokemon had spawned in that location about a half hour before.

So in my area there are not a lot of Poliwags, and it took a lot of grinding and hatching to get a Poliwhirl, and now that I have enough candies to evolve it, I got a Poliwag that if I evolve it to Poliwrath, it will surpass the CP and level of this Poliwhirl to Poliwrath. Now I just need to hope I hatch a Poliwag, and walk this fucker to finally get my Poliwrath.

Harebrained ideas spawned from walking around a single pokestop in a hilly suburbian hell:

1) Factory module: applied to a pokestop, makes each spin yield more items. Costs more than lure module, can't be obtained from level up.

2) Dowsing machine: applied to the player like the incense, finds random single items for 30 minutes.

Increases items found in a pokestop

3) Exp gain when powering up pokemons, the more times a pokemon has been powered up, the more exp.

Chansey
Scyther(see them daily)
Magmar (nest near house)
Kabuto (had one from rare spawn already)
Eevee (shit one too)
Electabuzz (had one from nest)

Ive gotten WAY better shit from 5ks on average. Hell ive gotten some 90% starters from 2ks. Im kinda tired of being jew'd over by 10ks at this point, especially with the 5% chance of getting one
