Not disputing this. Catch and flee rates are based on level and species though. Not CP. You are likely to see very many high level Weedle/Pidgey (which have shit CP because they are useless in and of themselves) so there is nothing at all strange that they occasionally run away.

I have that in mind but in less than two months I already got 2 chanseys and with the new spawns my chances of getting more are even bigger while gen 2 probably will take over 6 months so probably I will have a better chansey by them.

ok here's some changes I would make, not to fix everything, but some things.

>after a team has been kicked out of a gym, there is a fifteen second window where nobody on the team kicked out can put a pokemon in.
>evolutions of mons give more candies. e.g. catching a pidgeotto gives 6 candies instead of 4, catching a pidgeot gives 10 candies. gives much more incentive to catch evolved pokemon
>fully evolved pokemon would give 2 candies per their set km with the buddy system instead of 1. e.g. Zard would give 2 candies/3km
>incense works on actual nearby pokemon instead of spawning new ones. works like weak magnets- if there's two-three people using incense walking together, it pulls slightly harder. if there are two opposing incenses, it winds up in the middle.
>menu to automatically swap x for y item from pokestops if your bag is full. for example, if your bag is full, you could set it to drop a berry for every ultra ball you get, to make room for and accept the ultra balls

You literally don't need organized attacks to take over every gym in an area and level them up if you're part of the team with the most amount of players in your area. The sheer number of players, NEETs and spoofers all ganged up on one team makes it difficult for the others to take over gyms.

400-500 point CP difference is fine, you'll still get 500+ prestige every time. The half CP thing is for full on autists and is rarely possible or feasible with your standard team. Throw in your 1700 CP, shitty IV Victreebel and take it down with a hatched ~1200 CP Magmar with double Fire attacks, or your Rapidash/Ninetales with double Fire attacks.

You need to dodge I guess. Flareon isn't the bulkiest pokemon either. For me the best thing I do is throw in my 2600 Steel Wing Dragonite and use my throwaway spare 1700 CP Lapras to take it down for huge prestige every time. Or 1100 Sandslash vs 1700 P Jab/EQ Nidoqueen.

It's different for every player. Think of a good strategy that works with the pokemon you have in your inventory.

That's not even a good use as every Exeggutor has a fast Psychic attack which Gengar is weak to. It has no favorable matchup against any pokemon in the game besides maybe Clefable, which has a possibility of having Psychic moves as both fast and charge attacks (Zen Headbutt and Psychic).

Not only is it bad statwise it has no practical use in-game whatsoever.

You train gyms to a) test out and battle your mons (for fun) and b) to stash your mon in a gym that will hold for a few days

You earn more xp as with prestige by maxing the differential between the mons you defeated's cp and your mons cp. You also get more xp due to the difference than sheer number of mons beated.

My 1523 jolteon has thunderbolt (my 1544 discharger could only beat 1). There were actually 3 gyarados stacked, the 1732 was added while i was training. If i remember correctly the 1732 had dragon pulse, the 1879 had hydro pump and the 1960 one had twister. The addition of the 1732 d pulse one pissed me off because I could destroy the twister and was almost able to dodge the hydro. Like I had the timing down and some fuck added the 1732 one, couldnt last long enough to get through the twister

If a fucking jolteon can beat two of them, please don't add it to my gym

Oh shit I'm a little confused. I thought you meant a is a Dragon Pulse Gyarados good to use with that strategy. It's not worth powering up any Gyarados that doesn't have Hydro Pump imo.

What I meant with that strategy is like say you evolve a 160+ CP Magikarp and it ends up as an 18/1900/2000 CP Gyarados and it has Twister. Then you can use a nice low CP Electric type to get huge prestige and not have to worry because you'll be taking damage from Twister instead of Hydro Pump.

"Paranoid conspiritard" RNG guy here, last time I'm posting on the subject because I just evolved pic related, the last possible new dex entry evolution in my account. Third best.

Final tally is 2/40 of all fully evolved new dex entries resulted in best possible moveset. Clean 20-1 odds instead of the implied 6-1. Make of it what you will. I believe there's also a high correlation between the severity of the skew and how good your IVs are. Seems to me like the way they do it is really tilt the odds on either the charge or fast move, for instance if you have 2 possible fast moves they might tilt the odds to 75/25 instead of 50/50, or maybe even worse as far as I know.

Good luck to everyone fishing for good movesets through evolution.

All I need is Hitmonlee to finish the North America dex and I have 10k egg #31 in incubation right now with 1km to go. It could happen.

Generally no but I remember catching a single high CP Charmander back before Flushing Meadows Park became a Squirtle nest, and it was above average in all stats. Not great but good. Yes that moveset is ideal. I have one with those moves too. Best current Blastoise is Bite/Hydro Pump. Just caught something like a 483 CP "really strong" Squirtle with 14/15 Def. I've been hoarding candies trying to hatch or find a high CP/good IV Squirtle to reroll for Water Gun/Hydro Pump.

You're wrong and got it backwards. As other anon pointed out, no amount of organization will help against dominating team. As for lack of organization it happens BECAUSE OF low numbers - there's just little point in trying when some mistakes will appear in five minutes. The only time I cashed out 3 gyms was when I asked Mystic player to wait five minutes. Shit's ridiculous, there's no time for training or things like that.

You can't organize if there's nothing to organize with.
It's easy to see. Every time I level up an empty gym to lvl 4-5, it gets taken down with only my mon in it. There simply aren't enough instinct players around.

This is how all generals start to decay after some time. It's a good thing there isn't a discord for this general or the cliques and shitposting rivalry would go off the scale.

Can someone tell me how to run a scanner to notify you of spawns? I just so happened to check pokesear.ch, saw a lapras despawning in just over 2 minutes. I sprinted for that fucker on an injured knee but just couldn't make it. Ultimately a huge disappointment.
