Woke up, grinded a bit, cleared out the SS Anne, then used my newfound Cut powers to go back to Pallet, Viridian and east of Cerulean for another 3 captures. Really lucked out with Slow Dancer, and she puts in the finest work. Togepi is a neat catch too, if something were to happen to Titania. Speaking of, I'm not sure when I should evolve it. Anyone who's gotten a Clefairy in this game, does it learn any other Fairy moves by level up other than Disarming Voice?

This hack is pretty good, but damn is it grindy. Without spacebar spam it would take forever to finish. I already maxed out 255 hours of play according to the game.

...and Giovanni shortly after. looks like the difficulty level peaks between Erika and Koga, but after that it's been relatively downhill. It probably has to do with the fact that Koga is actually the highest leveled boss you face before Blaine, while I expected Silph co. rockets and Sabrina to be stronger.

Made it to Lavender Town. My catches for the route outside Rock Tunnel and in Rock Tunnel were a Pidgey and Rhyhorn, respectively. Rhyhorn's some real power in the PC for now.

Also, Lavender's got the Name Rater, which actually let me name my Pokemons.

Holy crap! Random shiny Patrat encounter while making my way through Floccesy Ranch at the beginning of my White 2 Challenge Mode run. Almost fled as I wasn't paying attention. Already had my encounter in the area, so what's the consensus? Isn't it I can catch a shiny as long as I don't use it on my team?

To someone who's a total tech newb (Faggot) with tech, what do people do to post screenshots of their game?

Just go through the controller options for whatever emulator you're going to use to find it and hotkey it.

Made it to Celadon, was able to get a total of 6 Pokemons between/around Celadon and Lavender and traded them all off. Gotta say, Scizor and Dratini are really impressive finds, and Vulpix is power in the PC if anything happens to Slow Dancer. The rest are useful because of Dupe clause, so it means I can't get them later.

With all this power in the PC I'm incredibly tempted to grind out and train a 'backup' team of 6 just in case something happens, I can just swap someone in quickly without needing to train them later.

Resuming my game again. Got through Silph Co. last time I played. I lost my Pidgeot in one of the battles. He will be missed.
I needed a flyer, so I started training Sanic the Zubat. Things going well so far, challenging Sabrina now.

Well, I kinda steamrolled Erika. Time to go beat up Rockets in the game corner I guess. Restructured the team towards fighting the expected Rocket-typical Pokemons.

Probably not. Especially with things like Brock's team consisting of an Aerodactyl, Omastar and Kabutops at level 13. So unless you're super lucky and catch exactly what you need, or you use Wonder Trade, you'll run into some serious but still kinda 'fair' opposition.

How do you rename the pokemon you get from wondertrade? Or is that just what your referring to your pokemon as?

When you start the game you have the option of having Pokemons from trades behave as if you caught them. This means you can bring them to the Name Rater and change the nicknames.

I actually was just referring to them as those names until I got to Lavender and stumbled upon that by accident.

How are you guys grinding before Brock's gym? There's only Route 2 available nearby but the pokemon give shit EXP

I remember grinding being pretty easy. I grinded in Viridian Forest. Level 6 Metapods and Kakunas were my favorite, they gave 60 EXP and didn't hurt, so I could get my whole team the EXP. The EXP isn't split in this game, by the way.

Alright, Celedon's Game Corner basement wasn't too bad. Has a few close calls, but still pulled through without casualties. Now I've spent a bunch of time trying to come up with as balanced of a team as possible (even though I'm going to use the other 5 as well depending on the area). Next stop, back to Lavender to take down the Pokemon Tower, and hopefully get a new catch.

Speed-Up is your friend. I grind by just going back and forth at high speed in whatever grass/cave is around and watching videos while grinding.

I'd say a heavy 'maybe' considering there's nothing with type advantage against Brock's Pokemons, except for Tentacool working against Aerodactyl.

Koffing and Drowzee could work if you cheese it with items, or just spamming Hypnosis.

Well that was underwhelmingly easy, Tenta swept the gym except almost died to a mud slap from kabutops, fortunately drowzee was tanky enough to take a few hits.

Last update before going to bed.

Hydro's passing hits the team hard, but Shield is working hard to fill the hole that was left. We pulled through that last fight against the Rocket Exec all thanks to Maria with Dig for the Houndoom and Weezing, and Rock Tomb for the Honchkrow.

At this point, my next goal is going to be to grind to level 50, which was the levels that the Rocket Exec had, then start heading south towards Fuchsia.

Also forgot to mention, the Pokemon Tower encounter got me a Heracross. Could be an interesting Pokemon to train up, but it's level 20. I'll only bother to start training it if maybe Iai dies, or if I'm running low on pre-trained mons. Especially since Heracross won't be useful against any of the upcoming gyms.

I had mid 20s, although I had a LV 25 Chinchou, which died to Misty's Lapras getting a crit body slam and living an Electro Ball with a little bit of health.

I imagine the other Pokemons on her team would have been harder had I not had that electric type.
