See I have a Dragonite with Steel Wing/Dragon Pulse, its best defensive moveset. Every time I catch an uncommon Dratini? The candy goes to powering up the Dragonite. Currently level 28 with my Dragonite at 2600 CP roughly, and still not exactly close to reaching its current CP cap. So when do you decide that you want multiple Dragonite instead of one that's as strong as possible? It doesn't make sense to have so many Dragonite considering there aren't even any Dratini nests anymore. Wherever you are they're gonna be uncommon at best.

I don't treat bots as actual accounts as you might assume, so I don't care what they have done, how far they have progressed in terms of level and pokedex and I don't care once they get banned.

What I need them for is to be available right here and now, like disposable weapons.

I mostly use them to kick other botters out of local gyms, but if I feel like claiming some gyms myself, I can just log into my bot, clean the gym (both enemy and friendly, because fuck training) and them cap it with my main, saves me time and items. Also out of lures? Just use bot's free ones to set you some and then toss it away.

And lastly, I've done some hella fine griefing in the past thanks to bots. Back when the game was fresh I kept the three most fought over gyms in the city clean from all three teams, walked some mystics across a park, destroyed team dominance across areas.

Gym turnover is going to happen in populated areas. The attackers have all the advantage needed.

Attackers have almost full info on defenses.
Defenders cannot dodge, but have 2x HP.
Attackers can go as long as their healing or mons hold out.
Defenders use predictable AI that lets you know when a charge move is coming.

I've attacked gyms held by a Dragonite with over +600 cp on me and won. They couldn't hold a gym so don't worry that you can't.

Nah you need a Grass attack as its charge move. Ideally Solarbeam but Seed Bomb has benefits as a gym defender.

People think once you hit 30 you start running into max level perfect IV perfect moveset pokemon and it's just not true. As far as your question you can figure out a pokemon's IVs with the appraisal feature or something like Pogocruncher or whatever it's called. There are ways of deciphering what your team leader tells you so that you have good idea how good your pokemon's IVs are. And if you wanna get it down to a percentage you can use third party websites. Don't use Silph Road though. It's blatantly flawed and they don't seem to have any interest in making it more accurate.

Eevees are more common than rattatas around here and they also come a lot in 10km eggs.

My eevee 15/14/13 became a vaporeon with hydro pump, My flareon that was second top IV eevee with good CP got Ember and Fireblast and my Jolteon that was third in IV got thunder shock and thunder. I made three more vaporeons with other good but not top IV eeves, they got hydro pump, hydro pulse and hydro pulse and I plan to make another vaporeon with a top IV eevee next time I use a lucky egg. Statistically this is not much but you are free to take the conclusions you want. I just hope this helps a little.

In prior threads I did a one man little study on the math and had to discount Eeveelutions and Weezing because they didn't have 6 potential move combinations. Pokemobbot is what I use, just make sure never to run two or more instances of the bot on the same IP or play on your legit account while running a bot on the same IP. The former will get your IP adress banned and the latter might not do anything, but I'd still close all my bots before running the game to be on the safe side (or run the game on mobile data only).

One method i've been using lately is holding onto the higher level shit I mass evolve.

When you need to take down a level 4 gym or even a level 10 one, if you stick 3-4 of these shitmons in with a couple of hard hitters at the end it tends to save heals.

The shitmons eat up some damage and you just transfer them afterwards, hopefully taking out a low level defender or two for your trouble.

It can make things take a bit longer though...

Try shaking the phone at the direction of the pokestop, like you're waving a hand fan at someone a little fast. This works for me and from what I can see it differs from phone to phone. From my observations, if it works, you're able to walk through your gps margin of error and if you reach its limit, it will throw you right back at the center.

For me is kinda low on cp for a lax and powering would take time. Time on which you could end up finding another one when your trainer level is higher and its cp is higher as well, if I were you I would wait.

Don't even need a scanner. Keep refreshing every hour or so to see all the shit that spawns there. It's a shame I can't go every day since it's a lot of fuel wasted per trip.

My phone isn't compatible with pogo because it has less than 2gb of RAM (even though I've been playing the game absolutely fine since day 1, downloaded the apk) and the newest version won't let me login because of that

Go there from 8 PM to whatever time you can endure. Since traffic is low, you can get there from one end of the island to the other on a car and literally catch anything you want. It's also the only place in California that I know which has regular Grimer spawns. It seems all Pokemon in the game spawn in that island for some reason and it's how I got all my Lapras.

Even if you just wanted to chill, there's 7 pokestops with lures all night during weekends from 7 PM onwards it seems(though I heard they removed one in the latest patch so it's just 6). You can just sit on 3 lures, cross to the next median and get 3 more.

Depends on what you're doing. For Dratini farming, the best technique is just using the twitter feed(which has google get directions button you can use on car. If you wanna save on gas, you can go to the beach at night and boardwalk/skate/bike from one end of Ocean blv to the other as they spawn. Not a lot of lures or stops there but water Pokemon spawn like mad by the beach. It's how I've caught 900 or so Magikarps. The sand is hard to walk on though and you do have walk all the way to the coast more often than not since that's where half the Dratinis spawn.

If you just want exp and random candy, the medians are the way to go, hands down. It's the best lure concentration and there's a nearby park where rares spawn. Starters spawn like mad and you can usually get rare spawns within walking distance of the lures if you want. More importantly, it's in the middle of the island so if Lapras, Dragonite or Snorlax spawns, you can get anywhere quicker but you may need a car or bicycle.

If you want to farm rare spawns and complete your Pokedex, the twitter feed and fastpokemap are the way to go, hands down.

Every Pokemon in the game spawns in that Island but if you wanna see what's spawning, use a scanner like Fastpokemap, pokesearch or pokemonradar go to see what the daily spawns are. Sometimes it spawns a lot of random water pokemon, sometimes machops, sometmes gastly, sometimes oddish. Chances are 5-10 commons are on rotation every day and it's never consistent. But to answer your question, no it's not just commons. In fact you can get a lot of 10k egg stuff and evolved Pokemon just from those lures and you'll know when they spawned since everyone uses a scanner so if you see a mob go somewhere, that's why.

Also, all starters spawn on this island for some reason.
