Maaan, the Pokemon anime makes no sense. Ash has saved Jessie and James' lives on several occasions, but they're still trying to steal Pikachu? They've got like, the worst motivation of any villains in history.

What if the Pokemon anime is just in-universe propaganda to make kids want to be trainers, to keep the masses from getting an education so the bourgeois can maintain control? Every episode is like "Pokemon are good, you should be a trainer." Kids leave at like 10, 12 years old to go out on journeys. Yeah, sure, go out into the wild with all these dangerous beasts, nothing bad will happen. And if you survive, you've still only got like an elementary school education. How are you gonna overthrow the bourgeois like that, huh? You can't overthrow the bourgeois when you're barely qualified to flip burgers at Poke-McDonald's.

I really don't think TPCi would be allowed to announce such a major project days before Japan, and release episodes of it too, it just doesn't seem right. If a Japanese version existed, we'd surely know about it by now, in fact that version would have been announced first if anything.

Seeing as how Origins was sort-of a bust in Japan (turns out only the west cares about red and his sodeep game adventures) but us burgers liked it, I wouldn't be surprised if Generation was more of a "gift" for western fans.

Sad thing is we didn't see Ash use any older pokemon nor old companions return in what is essentially the last "real" season of the anime.

It would have been nice to see a huge sendoff to the last 20 years of the show if the writers knew they were changing the entire series.
