This show needs tragedy, it needs more darkness to survive.
This stupid team flare arc is just false darkness to appease league fans.
We need a character like Serena to die, children need to know just how dire the situation is.
She should die scared, alone, and afraid. All she can think of is the massive regret of saying nothing to Ash.

It can work in a kids show, it doesn't have to be graphic, kids die in kids shows already, even other mons shows.
Just have her fall in some abyss or something, make it sudden, no build up. How am I supposed to believe Lumiose is in danger if it loses nothing?
