How to progress in PTCGO, tl;dr edition:
>complete all Trainer Challenges for loadsa packs to kickstart your collection
>play through using basic decks to unlock them for versus play
>grind prizes/coins on Versus Mode theme ladder
>enter theme format tournaments whenever possible using coins
>using your winnings from the last two steps, enter ticket tournaments. You'll get tradable shit from those
>trade packs/chests for the cards in a deck you actually want to build
>don't open packs before you have a solid deck, YOU EARNED THOSE, DON'T WASTE THEM ON SOME SHITTY HOLO RARE AND 9X KRABBY
>public trade is like the GTS, if you want proper results, put up your own offers
>occasionally the thread isn't entirely anti-social and can get you deals on cards
To see what your PTCGO stuff is worth right now, look for the PTCGO forums in the trading section.
>Your old IRL cards are probably fake or not worth caring about. Check TrollandToad, eBay, and TCGplayer instead of asking.
TotT: Which of the new PCL-on decks annoys you the most?
>>28272297
>Which of the new PCL-on decks annoys you the most?
Greninja for sure.
Every user of that deck I played with gets on my nerves.
They obviously cant win since the deck sucks balls post rotation but they delay the game anyways just to concede before you get the last prize.
They cant even lose with dignity.
post decks
>the world champion decks you can buy don't have code for the TCGO
>not tournament legal either
What is even the point then?
>>28272869
hi im anon i like to play the card gam with my friends and famlily flower
>>28272696
Those are very original decks.
Was it a good deal?
Is it ok to pick a Hex or Lysandre with Trainers' Mail just to discard it with Sycamore right after that?
>>28273518
Considering 4 VS Seeker is standard, yeah.
I'd probably pick Lysandre just so I always have access to it.
I'm new to the game, but I must be missing something.
Why isn't this card a staple? It's a +1 at minimum, and every consecutive attack is more card advantage.
>>28273539
>+1
>Good
>>28273554
>Free +1 that can snowball
>Bad
What am I missing here anon?
>>28273539
+1's aren't great in a game that lets you go +13 every turn for no cost except bench space and using your supporter for the turn. Every consecutive attack doesn't exist because the game is centered around OHKOs.
Enjoy that 1 card while your opponent knocks out your Pokemon, goes +2, and then you lose the lucky helmet as a -1, giving you a total of +0 and a dead Pokemon.
>>28273589
If you ever played other card games, equipping an enchantment or an equip spell onto a monster which draws you a card isn't actually a +1. Especially if those cards can be negated or removed before they even draw you the equip you used back.
>>28272696
>>28273589
Card advantage is nothing in pokemon tcg
There's a card that lets you draw another 7 and you can pretty much riffle through your deck to find whatever you want anytime
Drawing 2 cards conditionally is fucking garbage in pokemon tcg
>>28272696
I've been loving Xerneas Break so far
Give it to me straght /vp/, is ptcgo just basically a way to practice for the real card game? That's the only way I can see it right now, with no way to just straight pay for cards on there and most things being trade locked right off.
>>28273845
>no way to just straight pay for cards on there and most things being trade locked right off.
What? A competent player can build any deck within their first week, Shaymin included. Learn2trade.
This shaymin has been going for quite a bit. I have 4, sold one for 60(highest bidder) and I was gonna sell 2 more. Should I sell them separately? And if I keep one, would the value go up, or would it just go way down once it's out of rotation for tournament play?
How many SS packs should i give for a Sceptile-Ex? The Ancient Origins one.
>>28273974
I would sell it and keep one for my collection.
It's draw ability is just way too op.
Also it is possible that new GX Pokemon will appear with draw ability, if GX brings a Pokemon with Shaymin ability or better it will go down in price.
The only reason it's price is so high is that there is almost no way getting boosters that aren't weighted or OVP sealed boxes that aren't overpriced.
>>28273845
Just buy booster codes for 0.20$ ish and put up trades for in worst case 5-6 boosters for a shaymin ex or 1-2 boosters for a EX. a playset of normal sycamore/lysandre is 1 booster.
>>28274199
>in worst case 5-6 boosters for a shaymin ex
LOL
>>28274178
Ok thank man
>third day in a row of playing evolution pokémon
>third day in a row of getting games of shit hands where I can't evolve shit, and when I do the opponent disconnects or just quits
Worst challenges.
I just did four 24 ticket tournaments in a row with my Mega Scizor deck.
These are the results:
Fist Place: 2
Second Place: 1 (Lost because of a misplay by me)
Third Place: 1 (Lost because deck bricked HARD)
I got these packs:
Steam Siege: 32
Fates Collide: 4
BreakPoint: 4
Breakthrough: 5
Ancient Origins: 2
Roaring Skies: 5
Primal Clash: 4
Thats 56 packs in 96 tickets. (4,66 packs per 8 Tickets)
WAY more efficient than the 8 ticket tournaments IMO.
>>28274552
mega scizor? Can I get a nice deck list for it?
>>28273651
That's one of the things I dislike about this game. There's no accumulating card advantage or waiting for the right moment to use a supporter. You basically have to just play out every card you can every turn before your hand gets shuffled into your deck again.
>>28274654
These are my decks:
>>28272696
Out of 11 matches I faced in the tournaments:
2 Mega Mewtwos
1 Mega Gardevoir
1 Mega Ray
1 GlaceonEX and Regice
1 Yanmega BREAK
2 Greninja BREAK
1 Xerneas BREAK
1 Ariados and Chesnaught
1 Carbink, Lugia and Machamp-EX
Lost a final against a Mega Mewto because I misplayed a card, wouldve won otherwise.
Lost a semi final against a Greninja BREAK because my deck bricked hard and I couldnt draw any energies.
The rest of the matches were really easy.
>>28274199
Shaymin is worth 24 of the latest pack... I don't know what rock your living under.
>>28274914
You are wrong.
Shaymin is woth 40+ SS packs.
Its worth 20-22 RS packs.
24 RS is the price from Trading Companies which is a bit higher than street value because they make profit from trading them.
Which site is the best to purchase codes from?
>>28274395
Just do them against AI.
>>28275124
Versus or Theme only, otherwise I would.
What is the value of FA Mega Mewtwo, FA Mega Scizor and RA Mega Scizor? I don't think I'll be able to make a deck out of them at the moment, so I may as well fund my Shaymin hunt
I have two codes I found in a drawer. I didn't use them for sure but I don't know if they are still redeemable.
Here you are, I hope you get something nice

>>28272297

>>28275977
You should just get Shaymin. There is no substitute.
>>28275977
Octillery from BREAKthrough, the one with the Abyssal Hand ability. Then upgrade to Shaymin when you're able to.
>>28276145
Well it's like 60 CAD each and I don't have that kinda of money right now.
>>28276170
thanks
>>28275977
Keep diggin brother. You will get your shayamin ex.
Poorfag here aswell
>>28275977
Octillery has a similar skill, is an evolution, and only draws 5.
Talonflame is a decent alternative that basically has a coinflip chance of being useful at the beginning of the game or never useful to you ever, and only if you have a really low basic count in your deck. Like, only 4-5 Pokemon to start out with besides Talonflame, who you actually don't want to start out with (Zubats, Froakies, etc) compared to the usual 8-11.
>>28274959
Please Respond
I'm going to a tournament soon, and I don't know what deck to run.
Darkrai or Mewtwo.
I really don't want my ass handed to me again.

>>28277264

>>28275427
Anyone? How many RS packs could I get for them individually, or even SS packs?
is it even worth it opening this shit?
has all the good stuff rotated out?
>>28278078
XY was never worth opening, before or after rotation.
Yveltal EX's full art is the most valuable thing in the set because it didn't rotate out. But everything else did, or wasn't valuable to begin with.
How strong can a Volcanion EX deck be when this boy exists?
>>28278523
Fine. Just have to stream Lysandre and knock out the Garbs as fast as possible.
>>28278264
Can I use the Sycamores I've pulled from it? Gotten two so far.
So random question for you guys, and for your time helping ill be willing to post some steam siege booster codes along with some others.
So basically I'm trying to find some good cards for split damage kind of like the zubat, golbat, and crobat line that's rotating out. Anyone know of something good thats similar? first code for good faith
>>28278683
They're legal. Not really worth anything though
>>28278768
did Raichu get rotated out? I heard he could have some good chemistry with Crobat
>>28278795
Raichu is not rotated out, it got reprinted in Generations (twice actually). It's not worth anything though. Also Crobat rotated out.
>>28278078
>>28278078
>>28278078
wow... not a SINGLE fucking Full Art. I'm done with this shit. I threw everything that wasn't a holo or EX into the fucking trash. Holy fucking shit.

I've been testing Kyurem. The idea is Kyurem/Deoxys but with White Kyurem (Fates Collide 21 and Empoleon.
Volcanion = Thundrous ex
Empoleon = Deoxys Ex

follow up with a blizzard burn for a ko.

Alakazam + Mega Alakazam, perhaps? Zen Force synergizes with both Kinesis and Suppression, and with Devolution Spray and Alakazam Spirit Link you can theoretically evolve several Alakazam with just one Mega Alakazam card several times a turn to maximize Kinesis damage.
>>28278972
Is this a ruse or just deck wizard?
For starters, Lysandre's Trump Card is banned from all formats.
>>28278972
This seems like entirely a mess. Where's your consistency? What's your end goal here? It looks like you just shoved a ton of cards together that don't actually work together. Like, what the fuck is the point of Gyarados and M Gyarados there? Why Charizard EX? Why Venusaur? Those could all be swapped out for things you actually need, like some draw power, anything else really.

Neat. I've gotten two now.But I don't even have a deck with Giratina in it.
>>28279228
Casual deck doesn't have to mean bad deck, and having a preferred ratio is fine, but there's absolutely no reason it has to be filled with Pokemon that do absolutely nothing but take up space. Even "running a gen 1/2 theme"(With White Kyurem, Jirachi, and Mega Gyarados, what the fuck) you could just outright not be running those at all and something like 4 Ho-Oh, 4 Lugia, 2 Smeargle, and 2-2 Remoraid>Octillery would make 16 Pokemon, entirely Gen 2, and at least be somewhat coherent

>>28279572
I wouldn't consider the base questions of deck construction like "What's your end goal for your deck" and "why are you running this card" as animosity, but I guess it could be taken like that.
lilsprite, if you took it that way, I apologize, but you need to lighten up about it. It's not the end of the world if someone says your beginner level viability at children's card game construction is a mess. People call tournament winning decks terrible sometimes too.
I asked earlier, but got no response. I have a FA Mega Mewtwo EX (Psychic Infinity), FA and RA Mega Scizor EX and RA Scizor EX. How many packs are those worth each? Roaring Skies or Steam Siege, preferably.

>>28279665
I don't think there's much depand for Scizor or M-Scizor, I couldn't see it as more than like 4-5 packs maximum and maybe 1-2 minimum each.
It just all depends on what offers people are putting out at the time. If you're on a day where everyone's undercutting eachother for some reason, it'll be harder, but if you're jumping in at a time where there's a lack of other Scizor offers then you can go jewing.
I think FA M-Mewtwo EX might be a bit more though, the market is fluctuating a little since standard just came in. It regularly goes for ~6, but you might be able to get rid of it for 7-9 if you're lucky.
>>28279684

Elite Trainers boxes are a nice place to start for the physical game. You get some storage (the box), 8 boosters, a coin flip dice and some damage dice (essential for tournaments and way more practical than coins and damage counters), some separators and some card sleeves.
For online you get the codes from the packs you receive, some card sleeves and a deckbox (cosmetic only).
>>28280025
You don't get anything special from the steam siege trainer box besides a virtual deck box and sleeves. It's just a standard 8 packs with codes inside, just like if you bought 8 packs without being placed inside a box.
I wouldn't recommend getting packs unless you know what deck you want to make and there are a lot of commons/rares from a set you can use for your deck though. That kind of situation hasn't really happened since Phantom Forces with Night March though. I'd recommend just buying singles.

Now that I have a relatively solid pauper's deck here (>50% winrate in Expanded, been trudging through the prize card challenge), what should my ambitions be for upgrading my Pokemonaside obviously from getting a second Lugia to replace Bouffalant and winning the lottery so I can buy Shaymins?
I'm considering picking up Battle Ruler for Carbink and Ziggydiggy, and the fighting-type Garchomp looks like it could potentially replace Conkadonk and help me further fuck EX decks, but I haven't done a lot of digging.

>2 Vs Seeker
What's wrong with this? What would you remove to make space for more? As I said in my first post, I've wanted to increase them for a while.
>3 d valley
I only removed the fourth Dimension Valley last week because I consistently ended up having to remove the fourth one from my hand or deck one way or another. I haven't missed it so far, since a lot of other decks use it and Special Charge can recover enough special energies anyway. Keep in mind that I have seven pokemon who can attack with night march with a single DCE, thanks to mew.
>3 ultra ball
Like with Dimension Valley. I never need one after I've pulled the Shaymins in the first two turns.
>float stone
Useless since I have three Mew who can retreat without cost. If anything goes bad and a Shaymin is pulled off the bench I'll just spend one color energy to switch it with a Pumpkaboo and sacrifice it so I can use Teammates. Only case in which a tactic like this would hurt me in the long run of the match would be if the opponent is also a night march, but then again I don't use Shaymin that I can't immediately return to my hand against another night march.

That's my problem with it. While with Acro Bike you can even remove a night march pokemon while picking up a better card, with Trainer's Mail it's all about hoping that you get either Teammates or Sycamore.
Every time I see someone use a night march with a Trainer's Mail I also see that they use Puzzle of Time, another horrible card that relies too much on gamble.
It may be fine if you're against a normal, average deck but I want to win against other night marches too.

>>28281618
VS Seeker is there so you don't have to run 4 Teammates. It's an amazing card that lets you grab any supporter and when combo'd with Compressor it lets you search your deck for any supporter you want.
Having four D Valley means you don't have to worry about prizing them or discarding them early. Since you don't run Puzzle of Time, for some reason.
Same logic for Ultra Ball. Plus it's another discard outlet for the Pokemon.
Float Stone keeps your Joltiks and Pumpkaboos from holding you back if you don't start with Mew. Your opponent will just use the free time to set up while you have to waste an energy to retreat.
Trainer's Mail is better than Acro because it digs deeper for the ever-important trainer cards the deck needs to work; Ultra Ball, Battle Compressor, etc
Four of any supporter not named Sycamore is insane when they're dead in your hand. Running 4 Vs seeker solves this problem.
The fact that your list is so different than good NM lists should be indicative enough.
>>28281618
not the other guy btw
>What's wrong with this? What would you remove to make space for more? As I said in my first post, I've wanted to increase them for a while.
You could easily do without one of those Hex Maniac and 3 of those Teammates. That's a crazy amount of Teammates senpai.
>Like with Dimension Valley. I never need one after I've pulled the Shaymins in the first two turns.
Ultra Ball is almost never a bad card. It improves consistency greatly in the early game and it thins the hand nicely in the late game. It's a no brainer 4 of. It's certifiably insane to run a NM card with less, I think.
>Absolutely useless, I'll never understand why so many people use it. It's hot garbage, it just takes space and it's too much of a gamble.
It's not much of a gamble. When the card first came out I would use it as a filler card and it was always the first card to get cut. Nowadays, if I can't fit 4 trainers' mail in a deck, I consider the deck a failed concept and start over. It's that good. But your issues with it may stem from the above issues I personally have with the decklist. Ultra Ball and VS Seekers are two of the main cards you're looking for with it, along with dimensional valley and battle compressor.
>Teammates are the one thing that always saves my ass, especially when people tend to use N when I only have one prize card left.
You'll hardly need 4 once you have more seekers.
>>28281765
>Puzzle of Time, another horrible card that relies too much on gamble
PoT with Teammates support and a Town Map is braindead and requires almost no gambling. It's bananas in Night March. It would allow you to cut Revives all together and a Megaphone. It practically makes all the room it needs by itself while being far more versatile.

There's nothing wrong with running a 4-4 mega line-up. I know in at least M Fug I usually end up discarding a mega once or twice with Sycamore and it may be a while before I get it back with PoT or Rod. So it's nice to have the extra copy for maximum consistency.

The ammount of useful cards in the current format is very limited, its not hard to see what the top decks are.
Anyone that understands the game knows that:
-Mega Scizor
-Mega Mewtwo
-Mega Rayquaza
-Darkrai - Giratina
Are the top decks in the format.
And:
-Mega Gardevoir
-Volcanion
-Flareon
-Yvetal - ZoroarkBREAK
-XerneasBREAK - Giratina
-Zygarde - Carbink - Regirock
-Rainbow Road
Are at least one tier under them.
The rest of the decks are not even worth playing.
Posting this again, looking for suggestions.
I've only played two games with it so far, winning both. One against Rainbow Road, which this deck obviously counters, and once against Darkrai/Giratina, which was a surprise.
The biggest weakness as far as I can tell is Trevenant's retreat cost, but neither opponent really punished me with it yet, and Energy Switch can bail me out pretty easily.
>>28284056
I was watching someone dominate yesterday with Vespiquen, even after compressor has been rotated. The format is still so fucking young you cannot honestly say any of those decks you have listed as the top decks in the format are actually that great. That Vespiquen decks runs a 4-4 line btw.
>>28284142
Why do you play the Spiritomb?
>>28284183
Thet fact that you think Vespiquen is viable without compressor shows how fucking shit at this game you are.
>>28284220
Damage Play ends the game.
Any advice on how to tighten this up. It's been real good to me so far, even when I face Garbodor which should kill it. The random Parallel City is jut for all the RayQ & Rainbow Road decks that are prevalent on the client.
>>28284262
It's not me who made the deck familam, it's a professional player. One of those guys who made it to worlds and all. But I'm sure he's a shitter too. You've got this format figured solved 5 days in, don't you?
>>28284262
Vespiquen is viable you mong. No it doesn't come out swinging turn 1 like it did with compressor, but it's still a very good deck.
>>28284288
Personally I would cut the Elixers for two more Sprays.
>>28284056
>doesn't think Greninja break is as strong/stronger than those spergfilled mega decks
Why do you talk so much and know so little
>>28284183
>The format is still so fucking young you
More like the format is much less restrictive and cancerous than before.
No item lock, and ability lock is much less oppressive and slower. If we get good tool removal, there will be virtually no lock in format, which will be a first in almost a decade.
The three supposed best decks of the format have their weaknesses:
>M Mewtwo's damage can be played around to a degree, needs six (6) energies on board to hit for 190
>M Rayquaza has hard counters in Parallel City and Garbodor to lock out Shaymin/Hoopa
>Darkrai/Giratina struggles to OHKO quickly and Giratina is irrelevant in some matchups
All of this adds up to a format where things are much slower (especially with Megas+Links), much less volatile, and there's no item lock to literally stop certain decks from playing the game.
This is going to be a rogue format until they bring in the CP4 reprints or just give us something objectively nuts in an upcoming pack.
>>28284344
I was thinking about that. Or maybe for one of each Hoopa. They are still in there from an earlier incarnation where no-one could attack for cheaper than 2 attachments.
But they are good too, for those rare times you want to actually use the second attack of basic Hoopa or even the EX.
>>28284353
It actually isn't. It can't get OHKOs anymore, without relying on weakness. But it sure as shit can get OHKO'd back. And it loses a lot of damage to Garbodor. Ranger also shits on Shadow Stitching.
>>28284310
Vespiquen is not viable. While it only concedes one prize and can start racking up damage in the late game, it has no real acceleration outside of Sycamore, Ultra Ball and Unown, no Muscle Band, there are no good decks that are weak to Grass (even Water Box is mostly weak to Metal), and its HP is too low making it easy pickings.
>>28284288
I'd find room for a 4th alakazam. If 1 is prized and another is knocked out, like 1/6 of your deck is comprised of dead cards.
>>28284263
But why do you play Spiritomb?
This card effect is better, costs less and doesnt make you use Dark energy in the deck.
>>28284353
Greninja BREAK gets nullified by Garbodor.
Same as Yanmega BREAK, not useful at all because of Garbodor.
>>28284545
Because taking up an additional 2 spots in the deck and requiring you to evolve isn't as good as Spiritomb, which has everything in a single card.
Just started playing a few days ago, in the last hour I've beaten three people who just decked themselves out without me even having to play particularly defensively. Two of them even used Sycamore or Shaymin when they were under ten cards, with 4+ prize cards left to take.
I assume there's matchmaking and I'm just being matched up with the elbow-lickers right now?
>>28284288
Magma Base is really cheeky, I never thought of that.
Not sure if Hoopa is a good choice here. 20 on the bench isn't that much, especially since you have to waste a turn doing it. Isn't Suppression good enough?
You should also consider Absol. It turns Kinesis into 50 damage on the active for a surprise KO.
How do you set up fast enough without Mega Turbo or a Max Elixer engine?
>>28284622
Except for the additional dark energies
>>28284622
If you dont need the dark energies you can remove the 2 spiritombs, and 4 dark energies and add 2-2 meowstik line and 2 psychic energy.
You are not using 2 spots in the deck.
You are preventin bricking by drawing dark energy when you need psychic energy.
>>28284670
>>28284677
The energy split isn't a big deal. Trevenant needs 1 psychic energy to function.
>when you realize you just won 0-1 with 10 hp left
God bless Lysandre and God bless Landorus.
>>28284142
>>28284622
Don't forget that Spiritomb only affects the bench. Meowstic affects the active as well.
On the other hand, you can stall with Spiritomb's Nightmare, among the other points.
You really should add in at least 1 Float Stone or a Switch or something.
Or speaking of tools, you could consider Bursting Balloon. 60 free damage can help you win faster.
Have you considered actually using the base Trevenant? Hammers so Nervous Seed is more effective, or DCEs since Energy Press can potentially put more damage on board than Silent Fear.
>>28284646
the Hoopa are the reason it doesn't need to be so fast. Hoping to open with him whenever possible. Plus you can pick and choose where to put those 20s and you're not relying on them to drop energy attachments, or the Secret Base (which is reactive and often removed before it can do it's job). Particularly in early game Hoopa is really good. Plus he's only one prize so you can make it a seven prize game that way while you set up your Kazams.
Absol is a nice idea although it's another card I'd hate to open with. idk why I never thought of Mega Turbo. Because I actually use the Hoopas to attack pretty often?
I guess it's not a particularly fast deck. More about spreading out damage all over, so that the opponent is fucked no matter who he brings out to kill the Hoopa.
This card is a riot.
>>28280758
If you have the same problem as I had it's your firewall that's blocking TCGO's access to your internet. Set allowance for the game in the firewall settings and see if that works.
>>28284820
I know that Spiritomb can't take damage from the active, it's the only real downside I see to using him over Meowstic. Still, most people are benching enough shit so far that I don't see the big deal as of yet. The thing about this Trevenant is that you need to start working towards power up another benched pokemon pretty early, since Nervous Seed is a bitch. And if they play Garbodor, that's just more damage for Spiritomb to play around with.
Float stone is probably what I want to add most. Bursting Balloon is another good idea, I just don't know what's worth cutting for it. One point to note is that Bursting Balloon doesn't have any synergy with Spritomb, though, and doesn't really help my win condition.
What do you mean by base Trevenant? XY? Because that's rotated. Hammers are a good idea. I thought long and hard about DCE, but I'm not sure how much I like the idea with all the special energy hate going around in the format. Trevenant is already a pretty slow card, it can't afford to get slowed down any more.
Is it normal that Bursting Balloon doesn't do anything to pokemon supported by Magearna's effect or immune to attacks from EX pokemon (when used on EX pokemon)?
I've noticed the description of both effects only take into account attacks from the other pokemon, but for some reason bursting the balloon doesn't do anything to my pokemon. Is bursting it officially considered an attack from the opponent pokemon or is the game just broken on that aspect?
>>28285065
I think it's a bug currently. At least that was my impression.

:)
>>28288085
Its likely all the same autist snatching all the codes.
>>28288105
Fuck that guy.
>>28288105
I'd commend him for his speed.
>>28288105
probably, not one booster screenshot in a dozen codes
>>28288138
>Already claimed
>posted 29 seconds ago.
Woah.
>>28288164
>29 seconds
you literally need to have the code typed out and hit claim in under 7 seconds
>>28287782
Nope she avoided doing that
>Rainbow Force Xerneas is now $10
well fuck me
I don't know what to play now because I sure as fuck don't want to pay $40 for a playset of a situational holo rare
not gonna lie I feel pretty shitty that all these codes im posting are gettting claimed by what I can assume is one solo person who refuses to even post any pics of pulls. kind of fucked
What do I do with these?
These are fucking used, no way anyone is that fast, literally claimed in 4 seconds
>>28288219
what are these boosters which dont say what pack they come from?
>>28288239
I got the AO one. Pulls later obviously since I want to try more.
>>28288246
give them to me
>>28288237
If $40 was holding you back, this isn't the format for you, buddy.
>>28288239
I got the first few that you put up cause nobody was around for those, same as >>28288256
trying to get more if I could, ill open them but might want to save a few for trades
What are some obscure TCG sites where I can buy things? Like ones that wouldn't keep track of card spikes
>>28288239
I'm not even trying anymore.
What about some kind of contest or anything?
>>28288284
>jewing gift packs
>>28288248
I saw a green tick and then it was claimed.
Its legit trust me.
>>28288004
Except Magearna blocks your biggest issue aside from Volcanion, non-Mega Mewtwo spreading Damage Change around without a need to use a stadium. Garbodor doesn't stop Volcanion from curbstomping you. So far this has been more consistent than relying solely on ability lock and hammer coin flips.
>>28288060
Greninja is nowhere near as common as it was outside of terrible budget builds.
You're assuming the Giratina player draws perfect DDEs on demand while I don't draw perfect Hex/Ace. Sure it's not the easiest but I'll gladly trade an easier time with the two most common decks around for it.
>Yanmega Break
Still loses to chained Hexs, which you assume I never will get while they get flawless evolutions and hand management. Weavile also forces the 3HKO.
RS I got from earlier
>>28288278
$40 isn't what's hoding me back
I'll happily pay $15 or more for an FA EX
but not for a fucking holo rare that was $0.99 like 2 weeks ago and will be again after a couple months
>>28288302
aight fuck it ill open all of them, I got the first 7
>>28288329
...I got one...I'm giddy
last one I got, thanks for the help guys
>>28288312
That scizor list is fucking awful.
too many energies
FOUR FUCKING MAX ELIXIR IN A DECK WHERE YOUR MAIN ATTACKER IS AN EVOLUTION THAT ATTACKS WITH 2 FUCKING ENERGY
REVERSE FUCKING VALLEY
YOU ARE A SHITTER
>>28288285
Haha good luck. Your best bet is your local game store
>>28288312
>4 max elixir on a mega deck
>no trainers mail
>9 energy
>klefki
>4 balloons
>only 3 sycamore
wew lad
My list is 1000x more consistant: >>28272696
>>28288371
Thanks for the CharEX mate.
>>28288312
where are your crushing hammers?
>>28288382
I'm assuming it is for speeding up the game
>>28288343
First one, I got 6 ss and 1 fates right at the beginning while everyone was sleeping
>>28288410
My local game store overprices things and is always out of stock on shit
>>28288320
Doubtful the price will change much. People thought XY Trevenant would go down after a few months, it never did, because its viability never changes.
Also $15 will barely buy you a FA EX anymore. FA M Scizor, M Mewtwo, Giratina and M Ray are all much, much more than that.
Here's my pack.
>>28288465
pack #2
>>28288466
Travel then. I'm heavily into mtg and if I'm looking to get a card that just spiked (like the day of) I just go to my local game store. If it spiked recently I travel to the bigger town in my state and usually one or two stores will have it at the previous price

>>28288440
ITS FUCKING RETARDED
Mega Elixir is used to charge basic mons that need many energies to attack or to boost your Xerneas BREAKS or Darkai EXs and things like that.
Using 4 Mega Elixir on a deck whose main attacker is a MEGA that attacks off 2 basic energies is fucking retarded and shows how little he understands the game.
goddamn, i keep missing these codes
i'd be happy with just 1
>>28288578
5, that kelfki ability sounds weird as fuck
>>28288634
what does it say?
>>28288634
6, last ss pack
>>28288682
you pretty much attach it as a took to another pokemon and that makes it immune to mega evolution damage, or at least thats what i think it meant
>>28288718
For one turn. It's pretty garbage though.
>>28288718
>>28288746
Yeah, you got to discard it next turn.
>>28288694
7, last pack, thank you again to >>28288371
So upon testing I have discovered that Magearna is bugged as fuck.
>blocks bursting balloon damage
>prevents Weavile from tearing away your tool
And probably more. Balloon seems to be coded as an attack effect, so it gets blocked by Safeguard, Magearna and Giratina.
>>28288580
You're a fucking idiot. It's for Magearna's ability and benched Scizors. You don't even know what the card is called, but I shouldn't expect more from this awful general.
>>28289164
>attack requires two energy
>Scizor shouldn't remain unevolved for more than a turn or two
Mega Turbo is better than Elixir. And you already run two of them. And without Elixir, you can run less energy, because there is really no reason to run 9 energy in this deck. All that extra space can be used for other cards.
But this whole deck idea is inferior to the Garbodor version so I don't really have any vested interested in improving this dumpster fire.
>>28288776
How were you so quick to grab the codes?
Explain your speed please?
>>28289547
I got the first 7, before everyone else saw what was going on, had nothing to do with speed as much as it was just luck to be around
>>28289164
Why would you even play Magearna in the first place?
There arent any worthwile effects worth preventing in the first place.
You dont have any special energies to prevent the effect from scizor.
You already fuck up mega mewtwo by discadring the stadium.
There arent any other noteworthy effects in the whole fucking format.
>>28289635
Lucky you :)
Were those tradables or locked?
Ive never asked and no its not a meme. But
Why the fuck does zach steal all the codes?
>>28289689
the ones I got where tradable but I opened them anyway cause the dude who gave them out wanted that at least
>>28289648
Because Scizor hits for a measly 120, Mewtwo can just Lysandre out Shaymins and damage change them. If you lack Magearna Mewtwo can also just damage change onto you and then kill you next turn, giving him more time to set up his bench. That's how Mewtwo beats Scizor most reliably. Magearna blocks you from being damaged, Mewtwo just heals himself, so it improves your board state in that Mewtwo cannot get prizes off your bench by Damage Changing them like he can against any other deck. Weavile can share the Float Stone so everyone has free retreat. Except, as I've found out, Tear Away is bugged and gets blocked by Magearna, so the deck actually doesn't function as smoothly as it should in PTCGO.
I would add a Cobalion for the Carbink matchup but I don't actually have one yet.
>>28289715
kek
>>28289867
You have 220 HP
-You hit Mewtwo for 120
-He damages change you
-You hit mewtwo for 120
-He uses his attack 30*3 = 90 -20 = 70
70+120 is 190, you dont die
You kill him.
Even then, with 4 crushing hammers and a flare grunt he would never even get to have 3 fucking psychic energies to damage change in the first place.
You are bad at this shit
>>28289715
get fucked nerd
>>28273636

>>28290052
Only one of those is an EX deck, though.
>>28281734
I'm pretty sure h won after this
Staryu with Metal energy makes it as hard as Steel Beams
Yveltal EX ain't dead yet motherfuckers
>>28289952
Are you a fucking moron? Have you ever played a good Mewtwo deck before? He can just mega evolve and kill you after the damage change. Then you have to do it again with the next Mewtwo and hope to god he never Lysandres your bench. Oh, and then you have to flip 4 heads on your 4 hammers you drew into at once or never draw anything while spamming Team Flare Grunt with your 4 VS Seekers hoping against all hope Mewtwo doesn't have an answer. Magearna fucks him way harder while also giving you access to Weavile's easy evolution and balloon spam, which is handy vs many decks, AND Klefki, which prevents Mewtwo from doing anything at all to you.
You clearly don't have a clue what you're talking about because I'm enjoying using this a whole lot more than the coinflip variant.
>>28290176
Your list is bad anon, Garbodor is superior to Magearna.
>>28290176
You are the fucking MORON.
Mewtwo decks run Garbodor, so you shove Magearnas ability up your ass.
>>28290419
Maybe if you insult him in capslock a little more nobody will notice your autism.
>>28290346
>can't argue anymore
You're also forgetting any deck running Garbodor doesn't hurt from being shut down by Garbodor besides maybe Darkrai/Giratina, which I already mentioned as being a matchup I'd gladly trade in favor of countering the more common decks.
>>28290419
So running Garbodor doesn't even matter then? Because in the versus Garb scenario not having a Garb benefits you because you can get to use your abilities before they shut it off unless you're running Ray. That's why Ray is fucking worthless versus Mewtwo, it gets one kill then gets PC'd, Garb'd and it loses. But, say, you're playing Mewtwo with Clawitzer and each of your setups are identical. Your Clawitzer likely got to drop a bonus DCE before Garb shut you off, thus you're the winner there. So Garb shuts off Magearna, okay, I just Lysandre out the Garb and kill it. Now Mewtwo has to stockpile 6 energy on itself to kill me. If it does I can remove them with the next Scizor, and now Magearna is blocking damage change again, and Weavile can put on a Klefki. You really are stupid.
Also my experience with this build versus other Scizor builds is that mine wins because all I need is one turn of Weavile and I'm golden.
But why am I arguing with the idiots in this general who constantly show they don't know a thing about the meta or deck matchups whose only experience playing the game is theme and Night March? I really couldn't care less, I'll keep winning and having fun and you all can keep being upset about me not conforming to your opinions you didn't even originate.

>thinking anyone here should be calling anyone else out for autism
