However, if you were to compare DP's top 10 episodes with XY(Z)'s top 10 episodes, DP is the definite winner.

I just started watching XY on Netflix. It's the first time I've watched since Kanto. Have they always been down to rehash episodes? I just watched Ash once again struggle to wake up a Snorlax.

And since when has Team Rocket been full of Poet Laureates? And where'd they get all this techno swag?

I honestly don't care about the filler episodes and would rather watch only the Gyms and Elite Four, but it feels kind of lame to get their without the build up, no matter how empty the build up is.

OfC I did expect him to lose in the League though, However I expected him to lose aginst Sawyer and not Alain since Alain had no interest in the league.

Especially since up until Ash finally lost against Sawyer, Sawyer always got his ass handed to him. So it would only make sense for Sawyer to surpass his idol in the league but I guess not.

Kind of like Ash vs Gary, and Ash vs Paul. Where Ash finally defeated them, but where it mattered most.
