I'm not a big fan of protagonists getting special snowflake transformations or powers and then proceeding to sweep everyone in their way, so I wasn't the least upset to see Greninja lose, it was a nice change to the norm of what usually happens in these sort of shows. The only downside was that Ash lost a league again, but I wouldn't have been happy with him winning with a Mary Sue frog so I'll accept the lose.

A girl falls in love with a boy back in her hometown but her parents move away to an island so she can't see him anymore.

She is gifted the opportunity to remeet him just as she is starting her Pokemon journey by bumping into him without recognizing him at first. Through a battle she recognizes his fiery passion. Never minding the strange coincidence, she immediately follows him and catches up to the years they have missed together, and is overjoyed to find out he wants her around.

Hijinks ensue as she spends more and more time with him while a blonde haired girl threatens her with NTR.
