What's the best possible twist the anime could pull that's not related to ash's league lost or amour?

I used to, but they've gotten so terrible these days. TPCi can't dub worth a damn: their voices are bad, their acting is emotionless, the dialogue reeks of an old guy trying to be hip, and they've been replacing more of the Japanese music than 4Kids of all people did since XY began.
