Skyla was handily taken care of. Frozone crit my capture in Chargestone, probably wanted to fight Skyla to prove himself a good part of the team. Got Cherry on Route 7, Cherry fucking hates birds. After Route 7, Celestial Tower, and some Evolutions, the squad took on Skyla. Battle went very smoothly.

I'm already at Skyla's gym by now but it still feels kinda wrong that I had to completely ignore a wipe to get where I am rn. Then again, having to go up vs a gym leader with mons like Speed Boost Yanmega in a fucking double battle so early in the game when you only have a Simipour with Acrobatics to take care of his team (other mons were a Mightyena that just died to anything he'd throw at me and a Servine that could maybe survive one attack but could do nothing in return) is just beyond insane, so it was either this or endless grinding vs wild mons. Did I do the right thing, /nzg/?

Jamey and Harambe Jr. easily crushed the entire gym, and Harambe Jr ended the actual gym battle in three turns with Sheer Force boosted Fire Punch. As much as I want him to git gud, he's probably not gonna make it to the evolution.

Platinum just kicked my ass is a couple of battles past the daycare center. Lost Gyarados to copycat Happiny (copied Dragon Rage). Then caught a Ponyta and Kadabra, so things are looking up with a squad of Monferno, Psyduck (MVP), Kadabra, and Ponya. Then I get to the double battle of ace trainers before the 3rd gym's town. Wiped out thanks to that Drifblim, Psychic Ralts, and Faint Attack Gligar. GG, Plat. Debating on whether to redo Plat or go HGSS.

Need an honest opinion: how well will I do against Koga with this team? I was thinking of launching with Xavi (Alakazam), then switch Pokémon as the situation changes.

Keep in mind this is a blind run, I don't know what Pokémon will he have, but I believe I have a fairly balanced team.

For reference, some of my attacks:

- Alakazam: Fire Punch, Thunder Punch, Psychic, Recover
- Ninetales: Flamethrower, Dig

I'll need to hold off the evolution until level 23, because it'll have to level up while carrying my Bellsprout through the sprout tower elder. After missing out on the STAB move at 13, I may as well leave it as Eevee for that adaptability boost. It's all I have.
