The series was great, I fucking loved every moment of it and the time I spent watching it over the last 3 years.

It doesn't change the fact that all the hard work, all the challenges and excitement Ash went through, all the progress we see in him as he grows as a trainer into what we saw the last few episodes, all wound up not meaning a god damn thing.

The pay off for Greninja, the League, Ash all of it was not satisfying at all. If Ash had never gotten the Satoshinka power up then this loss would have been acceptable as the difference between MegaZard and Greninja would be clear as day.

But Charizard shrugging off that Water Shuriken and Greninja going down to a Blast Burn by standing infront of it instead of dispersing it like it did earlier in the battle is tasteless. It was a bad unsatisfying loss.
