I don't think Serena would be coming back for Alola BUT it's funny how Ash and Clemont each have at least six or more Pokemon yet Serena still has room for three more. I suspect they would save her for Alola. This is weird, I think they could have Serena to be the proxy of Chicken-chan for the next series. But god please have her retain her current outfit and hairstyle. Since both XY and SM are known for trainer customization. Or they just leave her in the dust and screw her over.

Feels more like things with Ash are escalating. Visually the battles are more impressive so his Pokemon seem like they're more skilled fighters, he's using a lot more tactics and creative moves than before, and he's going a lot further than before. He didn't get utterly crushed in his match against Diatha like every match against a champion or elite 4 usually goes, his Ash-Greninja was going toe-to-toe and may have even been edging Mega-Gardevoir out. And now he's at the furthest he's ever been, in the finals of a League. Even now, he's in the lead, with Alain having two Pokemon that have been worn down, while Ash still has a weakened Pikachu and two still completely fresh Pokemon, arguably his strongest one or two Kalos Pokemon.

Yeah, Serena seems to be have replaced May and did have similar character development. I think there's a good reason for Serena to visit Kanto again. She could have room for a Johto starter and maybe an Alola starter. The XY series was supposed to mirror AG Hoenn and maybe the SM series would be a mix of AG BF and maybe DP.

I'd honestly like for Serena and Hikari to meet together. Since the producers and writers pretended that the events in Best Wishes didn't exist and all...
