Meta Mercury is an Essentials game based on the graphical styles of Gens 5-7.

All 721+ Pokémon are available for capture.
Over 100 new Pokémon are included, as well.

It has an updated battle system with:
>PokeBodies (Secondary Abilities)
>Mega Evolution and Z-Moves
>Mid-Battle Evolution
>Many new battle niches, moves, and items
>New Learnsets

The purpose of reforming the battle system was to make the games as balanced as possible by only making revisions the officials would eventually willing to do.

The Sound Type has been implemented to aide this.

The overworld will be Psuedo 3D, and include features like:

>Phenomenon Encounters
Soaring, riding, and surfing on the players pokemon is also featured.

The Gyms, as well as side-quests are, part of story progression and feature many new twists

The PWT and both Battle Frontiers are available as post-game content, as well as several side-quests.

The ability for online battling and trade is being heavily looked at and will most likely be implemented.

Nah, "Meta" is referring to change, which is really important in the game.
Mu is in reference to the story legendary, who is shaped similar to "µ" and is integral to said change.

Good news! I found the old Vidyamon demo!

This was a test to see if my Gold/Silver tools worked and only a couple of sprites have been changed. So don't be surprised if Centipede turns into a Beedrill. Also, you can't go past Violet City. The routes are also the same unfortunately.

With that said, enjoy what little work this project had.

The cattail pun is obvious, but the tail and bushy rear acts as both a disguise and a prehensile arm.

Taking a break from storyline scripting, I wanted to get started on my post-game's battle facilities as a change of pace.

So far I have a few ideas:
Three tiers of difficulties with different prizes:
Easy (You get to bring 6 pokemon)
Intermediate (You get to bring 3 pokemon)
Expert (Choose 1 pokemon, you dont get to bring friends)

With the facilities themselves being:
Battle dungeon
- battle wild pokemon upon wild pokemon, they never stop coming
- 1 pokemon on the first floor, 2 on the next, etc
- some are NFE, others are fully evolved depending on the floor
- you must see how far you can get
- cant capture or run away from said wild mons, no exp either

Battle tower:
- standard battle tower, singles or doubles (easy mode here is 6 pokemon, intermediate 4, expert 2)
- after 9 consecutive battles you get to battle a "Tower Head", there are 6 of these
- if you defeat them all, you unlock a tournament styled mode in a booth nearby

Battle School:
- no difficulties here, this facility is purely used for training
- level grinding
- ev training
- iv training (takes longer than ev training)

So far, these are all the facilities I've thought up.
What do you think?

Sanqui's Red/Blue randomizer doesn't have all 721 at once, it chooses 151/251 among them and puts them in the game replacing older Pokémon. Shantytown's expanded dex would allow this (assuming there aren't any looming bugs nobody has noticed) but I'm pretty sure Sanqui wants to rewrite the entire randomizer from scratch anyway.

There's nothing like that for Crystal though, definitely.

It's honestly not that bad. I just started working with it last week. I've managed to do a fair bit already. Currently I'm trying to figure out how to call animations, in order to make a battle system. Changing how the map works to allow for two screens was the hardest part of what I've done, and even that wasn't too bad.

I'm working on the equivalent of a following Pokemon script, and aside from the animations, it's been pretty simple.

I came up with my own twist on the Battle Factory, as well:
>same as hoenn's factory, but with leaders like the battle tower called Factory Heads
>beat all 3-6 factory heads (not yet decided how many i want) and you unlock a secret mode in a nearby booth
>instead of picking regular pokemon With regular abilities and movesets, it becomes Hackmons With illegal movesets and abilities

I think a hackmon Factory could be cool, though I wouldn't go overboard with it. It should still be stuff that makes sense for the pokemon, but feel more like special moves or hidden abilities.

Yeah, Crystal doesn't have a similar tutorial, though you should be able to use the cygwin part of that pokered tutorial for Crystal, just make sure you download all the right packets needed for Crystal.

Wanted to do a team rocket ish run with sapphire, basically i would mess with my rom and change my sprites so i can look like a team magma grunt, rather than beating gym leaders the usual way i would instead steal their mons and store them as my "badges", i would only use "team magma" approved mons too for the extra layer of challenge, plus all the fun with beating aquafags ingame
