Alolan Exeggutor is a form change. Pokemon changing into different types happens all the times, but they always keep at least one part of their original type.
Weepinbell is Grass/Poison. Bruxish is Water/Psychic.
Also, Exeggutor is a form change. This is a straight up retarded evolution. Even the most drastic changes like Politoed and Magnezone keep at least some kind of concept alive.
Using the Eeveelutions in your argument is retarded because Eevee's entire gimmick is that it has unstable DNA and transforms extremely easily, so it changing drastically into different types is actually the point.
