The IVs are either amazing or dogshit depending on whether he's level 15 or 16. Won't know for sure till I get more candies.

The attacks seem good too. Lick has lower DPS than Zen Headbutt, but recovers faster for dodging. Earthquake doesn't get STAB, but should be harder to dodge cleanly with its long damage window.

Holy shit Flagstaff is like an oasis in a desert (literally, almost). Fucking 115 degrees all over Nevada and Arizona, nothing but shitty desert and sparse brush, until you drive up a nice incline into a beautiful city that smells like a fresh forest with trees all over. Shit like this pisses me off. In the games you couldn't catch most of the evolved pokemon, you had to train from the low level ones and evolve it yourself. Especially Gyrados, if you want one you have to evolve it from Magicarp. Having all of this stuff just sitting in the wild is stupid and takes away a big part of the game.

The circle does indicate difficulty of the catch, and the shrinking indicates your chances of a nice, great, or excellent throw. Before the update they gave you xp, but they broke it with the recent update, so there's no reason to go for throw bonuses until it's fixed. Harder to catch Pokemon won't necessarily have higher cp or iv, because it's all random, but starters/evolutions usually have yellow-red circles

It used to give you bonus exp if you made the catch at a specific circle size, but for some reason they removed that in one of the last updates. It still says nice or excellent or whatever though.
It never worked properly for me anyway, I've made catches exactly when the circle overlapped with the outer one, when it was the smallest and when it was in the middle, and it didn't give me anything, while I've gotten perfects at completely random circle sizes.
