I've got a question about Pokemon "level". Does everything have the same caps based on your trainer level? I've got two drowzee, one level 21, one level 17.5, but the lower level one has almost perfect IVs. I'd like to use that one, but the other one end up stronger overall because I caught it at a higher level? I'm in a similar space with my eevee. Really good IVs, but I caught him back at level 16 or so.

The gym system is such fucking garbage. I hope they implement something more entertaining to do with the pokemon I've caught. Once I've cashed out my complimentary pokeshekels I'm done with it. The cap is based on your current level, not the level you were when you caught it. You will just have to spend more stardust to level it up than you would for a pokemon with higher CP

So does a Curveball increase the chance of catching a Pokemon? I havent updated and am still playing on the version where you get bonuses for NICE,GREAT,EXCELLENT throws. Been trying to aim for excellent throws and they keep breaking out but noticed when i finally catch a pokemon thats being difficult, somehow I get the curveball bonus.

While I was out last night, an instinct player followed me around in his car and took everything back as soon as I left. Unless I got one that was somewhere he couldn't park. He let those go.

Ive been having fun playing this game so far, but I do run into a lot of people that annoy me. My towns majority of gyms/stops are on a campus and I always run into people who bitch about anything past Gen 1, or bitch that a lure wasn't placed down the second they got there. I keep getting stopped by people who want me to vote for Hillary. I ended up having this guy stalk me and talk about his Pokemon for like 2 hours.

I think i prefer talking to kids. At least theyre excited about everything and just want to catch them all too.

I used to be a teacher at a highschool and would occasionally get hassled by the security thinking I was a kid messing around with the teachers equipment. To combat this, I grew out a beard and started wearing a tie. It worked. I kept this look for years.

The game used to scan for Pokemon in the radius around you every second. When they first took down Pokevision, they increased that to five seconds to make scanning harder, while simultaneously reducing the scan range from 100m to 70m; not great changes, but it didn't exactly break the game for actual players.

This morning, they changed it to ten seconds. That means that even walking at a below-average 1m/s, you'll still only be seeing about 4 of every 6 Pokemon in your scan radius. When you go any faster, including (very) slowly biking, you're more likely to miss a Pokemon than to see it.

They're literally fucking people over for playing the game as intended, while scanners will just add another 100 scanning accounts to make up for the changes.
