There would be LITERALLY no problem with the dub version if they would just leave the music as is, just leave it alone.

This is the biggest issue by far, all anime dubs these days have questionable voice selection, but at least they keep the fucking music intact.

I don't think the vitriol for the dub would be anywhere near as high if the music was the same as the original, it still wouldn't be the preferred way of watching but it would be at a far better place than it is now.

Sorry, let me back up a second. Yes, in the initial stint of X/Y, he was rocking shit as usual. All I've seen during XYZ, unless I somehow missed some shit, is him either being 'on par' with enemy mons, or being so outclassed that he needs to tag out for someone else. Usually Greninja.

Hell, in the episode where Serena crossdresses as Satoshi and faces the guitar hobo, Pikachu on Pikachu, we see that he is completely goddamn matched by another of his own species. The Rockets even point that out.
